I have an idea that involves a lot of small (pocket) mirrors. So I want to go to a store that ideally has a lot of pocket mirrors of different sizes (shapes are not that important) on display, and play around with them before buying. Then after I find what I need, I'll buy a few. Problem is, I don't want to buy before browsing. Does anyone know of such store in NYC?

I'm trying to track down a book about a girl and mirrors that lead into another world/ It's some time since I read it so the details are a bit sketchy... The girl lives in an apartment filled with mirrors. Very early in the story, she is drawn through a mirror to a different world that includes a castle and a king that had lost his mind. Mirrors are very different in this world - they are very powerful objects that can be used to translocate etc. She becomes a powerful mirror manipulator...

I have three antique bevelled mirrors (date stamped April 1915 on the back) that are part of a three-way mirror from a vanity table and that I would like resilvered. Does anyone know of a good place to have this done in Toronto?

I’ve been looking for the perfect two-mirror compact mirror for awhile now. It’d be a bonus if one mirror is magnifying. I keep finding some beautiful vintage
ones on Etsy, but they usually have a drawback – that one side contains crusty, decades-old makeup. Ick. If I were to buy a vintage compact, would it be possible to put a mirror in the second side? Perhaps a framer could do it?

If two facing rooms, each the mirror of each other, are separated by a thin wall with an opening in it, would looking through the hole be akin to looking into a mirror without a (your) reflection?

When you are changing lanes, do you rely only on you mirrors, or do you physically turn your head to check? If you turn your head, how far do you turn it? [more inside]

What is the purpose of these mirrors behind the customer, about waist-level, in checkout lanes? They seem to be set up so that the cashier can get a good look at my butt - which I doubt is their true purpose. [more inside]

I'm looking for a short mystery stories book I read in a library. One of the stories is where a character comes up a flight of stairs and thinks he sees something (a murder?) in someone's apartment, but it's actually some kind of mirrored reflection of a mirrored reflection of someone through a window across the street. The book/collection was published before 1996 and if I remember correctly, was all short story mysteries of 5 to 20 pages.

Anybody ever have a mirror resilvered? How much did you pay for what size? Is it something I can do myself? Is silver even used anymore?
