IdentifyThisElectronicMusicFilter: Does anybody know the name/artist/album of this minimal electronic track I found in a liveset (big mp3)? Or anything similar? I've been obsessed with this track (and liveset) for months and I really hope it's not an unreleased track from Move D and Benjamin Brunn because I hope it just points me in the direction of a new artist.

Anyway, if you don't know, but do know something you think I would like if I liked this track, that would be great too.

What well-designed, yet inexpensive, possessions are you fond of? I recently bought a desk clock from the Chicago Art Museum, which reminded me of the positive effect of good and minimally designed products on my mood and quality of life. Other recent examples are Yojimbo, Grado headphones (not minimal, but classic ), the new iPod Shuffle, Lacie speakers, the RT20, and the Time Teller Canvas watch from Nixon

I am looking for personal accessories, stationery, clothes, electronics, software, kitchen appliances, sports equipment, ... pretty much anything, as long as it doesn't cost huge bucks.

Help me find this specific interview with Kim Deal regarding the Pixies.

Help me find this specific interview with Kim Deal regarding the Pixies. It was either on MTV or VH1 within the past 10 years. If I remember correctly it could have been part of some countdown list. The interview kept on cutting to footage of the Pixies playing live. Kim Deal stated that she had never extended the ending of their songs. She then said something along the lines of never playing some particular riff at the end of their songs before in her life and then did it for the interview. The video wasn't very long and I must have seen it within the past 4 years. However I got linked to the interview it mentioned that the Pixies were a minimalist band. It always struck me as a very notable point about the Pixies that I hadn't considered. Now that I'm seeing them in a few months I've been searching for this clip but have been unsuccessful.

travel yoga?

What kind of yoga sequence should I do while traveling? I usually heat up a room with a space heater and do the Bikram sequence at home (this takes me about an hour to complete). I'm going to be traveling Wednesday-Sunday and I want to practice yoga while I am gone from home.

Problems are that I won't have a space heater and I won't have a yoga mat. I don't have the correct financial/time situation to attend yoga studios at my destination. Also, on Wednesday I will basically be in an airplane or at an airport all day.

My goals are to generally feel good, to be able to resume my normal practice when I get home without feeling too stiff, and not to hurt myself. That said, what sequence of asanas would be the best for me to do on my trip?

How do you determine if a dfa is minimal

Is there an elegant algorithm to determine if a dfa is minimal? Obviously you can minimize a dfa and then check to see if the result is isomorphic to the original. Is there another way?

Yet another "name that crunching minimal electro tune" question. So, I was streaming elektrowave.org's ShoutCast station a few weeks ago and heard this rather wonderful thing: it's a glitchy/crunchy/oversaturated/funky/super-compressed nightmare, and I love it. It's like the soundtrack to a gay circuit-party migraine in Hell. I need more of this danceable extreme* circuit-bending goodness in my life, so... who/what is it? And MORE PLEASE!

(*Yes, I know the genre gets much more extreme than this, so feel free to go with that too.)

I have about $20 to keep me fed until Thursday night. What do I buy? It's exams week. My last exam is Thursday night. How do I keep my brain fed until then? I am a vegetarian with a naturally high metabolism.

Here's what I have to work with:
Money Things -
$3 left on my meal plan (a simple meal can be had for near $1 if you hit the dining halls at the right hour)
$10 cash
$15 available in my ATM account

Kitcheny things -
5lbs flour
2lbs bisquick
1 can crisco
a few grams of yeast
2.5 lbs brown rice
a lot of honey (I drink a lot of tea)
a negligible amount of peanut butter (will be eaten by tonight)
stove/oven/microwave/rice cooker

Can you help me identify this current hip hop track with lots of MCs on it?

Hip hop song identification plea: the song is super-minimal, recently released, and has lots and lots of MCs on it. The song in question has very minimal beats - pretty much just drums, with the occasional keyboard stab, quite driving, but not frantic - and a huge number of MCs on it, including Missy Eliot, DMX, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe (I think). The chorus (or a repeated section, anyway) is done by a female MC with a very distinctive delivery, who sounds lazy, as if she's rapping while half-asleep, in an accent that sounds (to British ears) like it might be from the Southern states. In total, there must be about ten different MCs, or groupings of MCs. I'm afraid I can't remember any of the lyrics.

I'm assuming it's recently released, and a hit, as I heard it being played in a shop and caught a snippet of it on a music channel in the space of two days last week. The video is as simple as the beats, with each of the MCs doing their bit in a plain room, most of them dressed in bright, primary coloured clothes, and subtitles come up to identify each of the MCs as they take their turn.

Any ideas? Googling all the artists I can identify on the track just brings up past collaborations, and I can't find the song on the Hip hop collaborations page at Wikipedia.

I was looking for some coding ideas the other day, and I remembered the5k.org. But it's gone! The internet archive doesn't have the any of the entries. The original site of the movement seems to be abandoned as well. Is there another place I could find the entries?
