I am trying to summarize a table of thousands of values into simple year ranges. It should be simple. So basically, there is a table that looks something like this: PIPE_PLR_Y MILES 1912 0.06 1914 0.48 1930 1.43 1942 1.32 1929 0.85 1925 2.00 1914 0.95 1929 0.42 ... The table has many, many values between about 1900 and today. I would like to make a table like this: Year_Range MILES 1900 - 1909 23.6 1910 - 1919 64.3 1920 - 1929 73.1 ... Again, I'm using Access 2010. Any help would be massively appreciated.

For some recent while, probably since updating the OS X Mavericks, Microsoft Word for OS X keeps coming to the foreground on its own when I'm doing other things, as long as a document is open in Word. If I click out to the Finder, Word makes itself the frontmost program. If I click into the browser, Word comes forward. [more inside]

My company currently has a computer that has a Japanese version of Windows 7 Professional installed on it. We want to install an English language version of Windows 8.1 on the computer. I use an ancient MS Natural Keyboard, but the main thing that's relevant here is the key mechanism. The Goog will show you models old and new. I recently took mine apart, cleaned the plastic parts with water, got it nice and clean (years of accumulated cookie crumbs, etc.) The problem is - now the keys are kind of stiff. For example, if I strike them at a slight angle, they don't depress as smoothly as before. The standard advice online is to clean a keyboard to prevent sticky keys, but I have the opposite problem. Is there some kind of lube/oil/spray I can use?
My company uses Exchange for email. Since they block POP and IMAP access for security reasons, I cannot use Gmail (or Google Apps) to read my email. They do support Active Sync, so Apple Mail and Outlook both work fine. I would prefer a web based option, as close to gmail as possible. Are there any other options out there for me? [more inside]

How do I fix this? I "imported" a table from a PDF (big mistake). In the pdf, the dates were formatted as AA-BB, where AA was the month and BB was the year. Excel interpreted that as AA is the month and BB is the day, and gave them all 2013 as the year. So now the date reads as 11-Jan instead of Jan 2011. I no longer have access to the original dataset because I only just noticed the mistake. I am using Excel 2010 on Windows.
I own my own business. After a screen crack on a lap top, I bought a new laptop. I also bought Office 2013, with Outlook. How can I get a single inbox? It wants to set up multiple inboxes and I do not want to have to check different inboxes. I had a single inbox on my Outlook 2010. I have a 100-page Word document full of miscellaneous content from different websites. Unfortunately, after each section taken from a website, there's basically a citation for where the content was taken from that contains the URL for the website. I need to find a way to find all these hyperlinks and delete them completely from my document. They're all from different websites, so really, the only commonality is the "http://" part.

A week ago a well intentioned doofus dropped my Asus N53S, Win7x64 Pro. She was a champ. Snapped the motherboard, but I safely extracted the harddrive. In Mac Word 2011 - When editing a block of existing text, with the insertion point at the end of newly typed word, using command-B or command-I seems to style the word preceding the insertion point, and that I just applied styles to, rather than turning the styles off for the word I am about to type.
