Do Mice Eat Human Semen?

Thanks to some crummy apartments I've lived in over the past few years, I've had some experiences that have led me to believe mice are attracted to/trying to eat my semen, thankfully when I am far away from it and them. Is this remotely plausible or am I galloping headlong into some weird combination of projection, pattern-matching, and narcissism? [more inside]

Help, I have mice.

I am willing to pay to have someone seal up my apartment, but I worry about getting ripped off. Can anyone recommend an exterminator in Brooklyn who did a good job? And how much should I expect to pay to seal up a studio? Also, any recommendations for traps? I absolutely cannot do glue traps. I am not opposed to killing them, but could not handle a trap that might leave them alive but mangled. So, maybe humane traps are the best option for me. Poison is out because of the cat, even though she is completely useless at killing. [more inside]

We have seen a few mice in our home that might be deer mice

Have owned this home about 35 years and never had a problem with mice in the house before (a couple in the garage is all). In the last couple weeks we have seen a few mice in our laundry area which is ground level. The latest one (trapped today) looks to my non-expert eye like a deer mouse (small, white under belly), which I gather is bad news from a health standpoint. Two found in the laundry tub were disposed of previously. Questions after the break. [more inside]

Trying out computer mice in London or Washington, DC

I'm in the market for a new computer mouse, and I want to be able to actually try it out for a few minutes before I buy it, just to make sure it feels comfortable in my hand. I'm currently in London, and I'll be in the Washington, DC area in a few weeks. Is there any store in either city that has a wide variety of mice out of their packages and available for customer use?

Mice as Fire Hazards

Our house is 150+ years old. It's porous. Ergo we have mice. Is this an actual problem? They're not in the living areas (thank you, cats) but they are in the crawl space under the house and they are in the walls. I've heard anecdotes, of course. And you are not my electrician or my pest control professional. But do mice really chew on wiring? (If they do, why?) If they do, will they really cause a fire in a house with updated wiring and a modern breaker box?

How to block dead rat stench from coming up through my vents?

Our downstairs neighbours are using poison to combat a rat problem. Our bathroom already smells putrid from a dead rat somewhere in the vicinity of the relevant air duct. Exterminator X to the edge of panic
