help me put together the best festival concessions stand ever!

I just spent the weekend slinging beverages at a music festival, and have already signed up to be on long crew next year. In anticipation of this, my compatriots have asked me for suggestions to improve our setup, to be provided ASAP so we can find, get donations for, make, or otherwise procure everything before our next fest. Can you assist in drawing up a list? [more inside]

soup kitchen volunteers! can you lend me your recipes, menus, & advice?

I am part of a group that regularly gets together to cook and serve meals at a soup kitchen. Our amazing group leader of many years recently passed away very, very unexpectedly, and we have been struggling somewhat in his absence -- he always just kept everything in his head: set menus, what to buy and how much, where to get the best price on stuff, etc. Can you help us put everything back together? Put 2 DVDS on 1 DVD-r w/ Toast keeping original menu integrity?

I have an iMac and Toast 10 Titanium. I have several Video TS folders, some are movies, others exercise vids. How can I add two movies (2 existing Video TS folders) from my collection and either a)keep their menus intact, or b)have a menu where I can choose either movie and have whatever chapters Toast decides? I prefer option a) because some are fitness dvds that have exact breaks to start a new warmup whereas my movies, I don't really care where the chapters are inserted. I have looked online and there is such a wealth of opinions, some old links requiring another software like DVD2OneX or something else. Thanks in advance.

crossbrowser reusable javascript for dropdown that hides another menu when active?

What I suspect is a fairly stupid javascript question, but one I haven't found an ideal solution for. I four menus made out of unordered lists. I'm using a modified version of the suckerfish dropdown script to make it work in IE (code inside), in one place I want 1 of the four menus to stay open except when I hover on one of the remaining menus. i.e. menu1 is visible. when I mouseover menu2, menu1 is hidden. When I mouseout of menu2 menu1 reappears. [more inside]

Navigating a dropdown menu via keyboard with OS X?

Every time I need to enter an address in a webpage while using my Mac, I can tab from field to field, but the state field (which is often a drop down menu) gets skipped over, and I have to leave the keyboard to select my state with the mouse from the drop down menu. I hate that. Is threre an extension, either for Firefox (my browser of choice) or OS X in general, that will allow me to tab to a drop down menu, and select from its choices via the keyboard, as I can in Windows?

How can I take screen caps of tool tips, context menus, etc?

When making software user instruction booklets for the Windows-based Compleat Idiot, in which you want to include screen captures of absolutely everything the user sees, is there a way to do screen caps of things like popup tool tips, right-click context menus and so forth that close automatically the instant you press a key? Can you do it without installing an additional screen-capture utility? If you have to have an additional utility, what's a good (= lightweight and cheap) one? I don't need any special features except one, what-I-see-goes-to-clipboard.

In Windows, what determines if an opened document will become a "Recent Document"?

In Windows (in my case, XP Pro, but this might be general), what determines if an opened document will become a "Recent Document"? In practice, it seems like roughly half the documents I open can be later found under Recent Documents, but I can't determine the rhyme or reason to what makes it and what doesn't.
