This sounds like a simple enough question, but how do I find good men's dress shoes? I wear size 12 to 12.5 (US), and I like to try on shoes first, plus my budget isn't terribly large, so I've failed to find anything a number of times when looking at lower-cost shoe stores and sections. But I realize I've had the same 4 pairs of shoes for 5+ years, so I could probably splurge once a year on a new pair and not break my budget. Bonus points: shoe stores in Albuquerque or Santa Fe, NM. I am looking to upgrade my work shirts but would also like to be a bit more fashionable. I am looking for a few smaller stores in NYC to check out. Brooklyn / off the beaten path is fine. I am pretty sure I know about all the department stores and chain stores already. I work in financial services and typically wear a suit or thin wool pants and a nice shirt.
I'd like to get my husband a nice belt for our 3rd ("leather") anniversary. [more inside]

I got a desk job last year and with it came about 30lbs and I've gone from just being tall to being big and tall. I'm gathering momentum for working out but I need to dress the body I have right now. [more inside]
My sandals have finally started falling apart with the sole separating from the body and making walking more and more awkward. I'd love to find another pair that will also last me 2.5 years. [more inside]

I need men's shoes that are both great for all-day walking and look stylish. [more inside]
I got kind of a funny haircut (not on purpose). It's like the mid-'90s "butt cut" but extra long in the front. I have no idea what the stylist was thinking, as she did the two things I specifically told her not to do: no butt cut, as I have a serious cowlick that accentuates that look, and nothing that requires product, as my hair is very thick and everything I have tried is absorbed and useless within two hours. So what can I do? Technique and product recommendations? [more inside]
Hi all, I have super flat feet and have had reconstructive foot surgery. The only kind of shoes that are comfortable for me to wear for long periods of time are motion control-type running shoes. Are there any non-sneaker shoes with similar construction and support? [more inside]
I would like to have a few shirts made, I think? And maybe, eventually a suit? Please explain the basics of a professional tailor. [more inside]

I'm chasing a men's valet box. I've found a lot that cater to just cufflinks or just watches but what I'm really after is a box set that could hold a tie, tie clip and row for cufflinks and maybe bonus points a watch as well.
Where can I find good yoga clothes for men? Mid-length pants and shirts that don't fall all over the place. My old Lululemon stuff was well-designed and held up wonderfully, but they don't seem to make any purpose-designed yoga clothes for men anymore. [more inside]
Whenever I shop for pants or shorts, almost everything I try on either has a tight waist and comfortable butt, or tight butt and too-loose waist. This applies across various brands. I like to say that I'm little in the middle but I got much back, but my proportions aren't that strange. Skinny jeans don't fit me, but I'm not going for pleated dockers, either. I wear approximately a 30" waist and 28" inseam. Guys, can you recommend any brands that solve this problem?
I'm looking for a raincoat similar to this one, which is no longer available in my size. [more inside]
I'm looking for mens jeans that are stretchy (I'm talking the material throughout the pants, not the waist band). I remember a while back the store Express in the local mall sold dress pants that were 5% elastic (said so in the tag). They looked normal, but when squatting down, or taking a big stride, they would "give" a little around the knee, up the thigh, etc.). Anyone know of something similar for mens jeans?
My spouse recently got a job where he's on his feet all day, and his feet and knees are starting to hurt. He really needs more support/padding I guess. He also needs steel-toe. Shoes or boots are fine. What should he get? [more inside]
I wear a suit or dress trousers most days to the office, and am looking to replace some of my wardrobe. I've gone to a few mens' clothing stores, but have struck out looking for high-waisted, fitted but not tight, flat front men's trousers. (Details/snowflake/etc inside) [more inside]
I have a job that calls for a very particular combination of attributes in (men's) shoes, and I'd like any recommendations you all can give me on pairs to try. [more inside]
Are there any magazines out there like Bitch or Bust, or Ms., but targeted toward the hetero-male gaze? I'm talking about magazines that hold values inherent in third-wave feminism in relation to current events, topics like bypassing heteronormativity, overcoming masculism, fighting homophobia, speaking out against domestic violence, working toward gender equality, supporting reproductive rights, ending rape culture, etc. Zines are also ok. Can you recommend a men's rain jacket that is available in tall sizes, lightweight, and doesn't look overly sporty or technical? [more inside]
I just trudged 3/4 of a mile down 42nd street. My fancy black dress shoes (Allen Edmonds) are NOT cut out for this. My pinky toes have been replaced by blisters. What are the most comfortable shoes I can wear to work? I work in the financial industry but the dress code is business casual: slacks, button down shirt, maybe jacket or tie, rarely a full suit. Both black and brown shoes are needed, men's size 12. Must withstand walking in NYC.
Hot summer days in New York can be miserable with the heat and humidity. I feel like I'm on an endless quest to find the perfect summer pants. What should I wear to keep cool and look stylish without being over or under dressed? [more inside]

This has some echoes of my question from about a year ago, but I'm looking for some more help. I've found that the "long sleeve shirt untucked" look works well for me on weekends, but I am having a heck of a time finding appropriate shirts. [more inside]

Boyfriend has a solid-colored teal silk necktie he was forced to buy for a wedding. He says he'll never wear it again in it's current state as it is too "prom-y". Anything I can do to either a) make the tie more interesting (ex. a pattern) and thus wearable or b) put it to some other crafty use? [more inside]

I'm in my 20s and a man and I have a lot of trouble coming up with reasonably in style outfits. I'm looking for pictures of outfits with links to buy each component. Ideally, these would not be tied to any one brand (so, not Gap's looks for spring or something). Basically: "Wear theses things together and here is where you can find them." [more inside]

Greetings, I am looking for multiple sources for unique mens boots. I have a bit of a boot addiction so I am looking for GREAT sources. I have found things I love at Fluevog and Cydwog recently. For an idea of what I like right now, I saw these while hunting today: these and These I don't mind if they are "further out" than the links I provided. I like clean and stylish or rugged and stylish usually. Any funky, Bold, unusual boot links welcome. Thanks, SG

I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to buy reasonably priced mens clothing online. To be a little more specific, I am a college student who doesn't have a ton of money to spend, but I'd like to get the largest bang possible for my buck as far as clothes go. The sort of stuff I'm looking for fits somewhere on the spectrum between what Urban Outfitters has to offer, and what Tom Waits wears - if that makes any sense. I'm mostly covered in the pants department at the moment, so stuff like shirts, shoes, and socks are what I'm interested in. [more inside]
I'm looking to buy new men's boxer briefs. Please recommend me some fantastic ones that are comfortable on someone who (sorry for the image) tends to sweat a good amount and has a fair amount of hair on the parts involved. [more inside]
