An unexpected late holiday gift has left me the owner of an amazingly capacious leather toiletry bag (this one to be exact
) to replace my previous canvas sack. What can I put in it to make it the best men's toiletry bag ever for someone who travels frequently? I'm already putting in travel toothbrushes and simple shaving supplies, but what else should I include? What unexpected thing has been life-saving (or just really welcome) in your toilet bag? What emergency supplies should I have on hand?

My beau has decided he'd like to neaten up his beard, and I suggested finding a professional to do it the first time. (After that, it'll likely be easier to maintain.) Any recommendations for a beard trimmer or shaper/men's grooming salon/private individual in Austin? (Obligatory beard-and-kitten picture

I am looking to re style my hair. I would like to go to someone who can recommend styles that suit me. I have some idea of what I want but could use some advice. Currently I go to supercuts. As you probably know they are not the best for advise. I am willing to pay significantly over supercut prices to get this advice. Just dont know who to go to.

How much should I tip a hairdresser for a men's haircut in the US? $5? $10? 10%? 25%? How much money signals that you are thrilled with the cut, rather than just okay with it? Thoughts from people who have worked in barber shops and salons would be most appreciated.

I’d like to dress better. Clothing advice for a slim 20 year old male with a budget a bit smaller than the target audience of most fashion mags, please? And while we’re at it, how about some general clothing/grooming advice for the guys? [more inside] [more inside]
