Help us find this suit!

Men's Suit Filter: Please help us remember the brand of a suit we saw at K&G! This just happened yesterday while my boyfriend and I were looking for his halloween costume, and we've already forgotten! Details: we're 90% sure it starts with a Z. I seem to remember a double-L but it could possibly be a different double letter. 3 or 4 syllables. Vaguely Italian?

The suit was a 4-button royal blue with subtle stripes, and a slight sheen. It was inexpensive ($80, retailed for around $100-$120?). Not sure if K&G is regional, but it's a discount suit store like Burlingtons. I'm assuming that the fact it's not high quality is why we're not having luck with the Google.

If we have to, we'll go back and look at the label but it's out of our way and they didn't have his size. Hoping the hive can help. Thanks!

Hopin' for a jet-black soapin'

I'm looking for soap bars colored black... I'm looking for soap bars colored black (though not Black Soap, which is a special type of soap).

More:
- I'm trying to replace a bar soap once made by Crabtree & Evelyn for men. (no longer listed). It lathered up white for shaving.
- neutral scent or no scent is best. Otherwise a scent made for men.
- oval bar is better than a brick bar.
- not crazy expensive. Under $8 ?
- nope to Halloween trick soap! Nope to soap on a rope.

Any ideas?

Recommend casual button-down shirts for sale in NYC

Please recommend good quality button-down shirts for sale in NYC for a slender guy - I'm looking for something casual that can be worn tie-less and untucked if I'm in the mood, but still well made with good fabric and cut, i.e. at the level of Thomas Pink or w/e but casual.

Priced up to around let's say $200 a shirt, although if it's less that's even better. Thanks!

Shoegaze: Can anyone find these men's shoes? Hi all, I'm looking for these shoes or something similar: on NYC guy or Marc Jacobs guys (the ones with light-colored soles).

Something dark and leathery/shiny on the top and then white soles. The closest I can find are Puma Aqua Mostro L but it's not quite.
Where can we find interesting men's clothing in the Boston area?

We're looking for more than just jeans and polo shirts - but where? I went clothes shopping for a guy for the first time in my life yesterday, only to discover that men's fashion apparently consists of nothing but variations on a single outfit. It's like, blue button downs or brown button downs, red t-shirts or green t-shirts? There's barely any interesting patterns, even. We found a single paisley shirt in a sea of solids and wanted to cry when it was the wrong size.

When I commented on the travesty that is men's fashion, the guy I was shopping with replied, "This is why men hate shopping. Because shopping hates men."

I thought that maybe it was our choice of locales - we went to our local mall and hit up the stores there: Macy's, Express for Men, United Colors of Benneton, a couple other bland ones I can barely remember. So I'm wondering - is there a place in the Boston/Cambridge area we might have better luck?

Men's Hollywood Fashion

Name some iconic men's outfits from the Golden Age of Hollywood. I'm speaking of outfits from movies made in and set in the 40s, 50s, and early 60s. (Contemporary films set in that era are also allowable, to a lesser extent.) I'm looking for clothes that are instantly identifiable with the role and the male actor, such as Bogie's white evening coat from Casabanca, Brando's biker uniform from The Wild One, and James Dean's red windbreaker from Rebel Without a Cause. It can be from a supporting character in a film, if the outfit is distinctive and recognizable enough. Focus on, but not limited to, dress clothes. Television shows from the era are also acceptable.

Stylin Men's Shoes

Hip Men's Shoes That Are Comfortable I can't seem to find a pair of shoes that have a style that I like, that are also somewhat comfortable for a fair amount of walking. They don't need to be ultra-dressy and they could even be a pair of hiking boots that look could good. Ecco shoes seem to come pretty close to what I am after, but I can't find a pair whose style really does it for me. I don't live in a big city so my options for scoping out cool shoes are very limited. I might just be too picky, but can you help me find some hip men's shoes.

Where can I buy sunglasses with red mirrored lenses?

Where can I find these "impossible" red mirrored sunglasses? Not shimmery yellow and red, not shimmery blue and red, RED. http://s294.photobucket.com/albums/mm86/GodlikeZidane/?action=view&current=Image3.jpg

I bought those for my then-boyfriend (now fiance) four years ago in Canada. They were stolen in Las Vegas, and now I have been told by various sunglass makers that they are impossible, that there is no way to make red mirrored lenses without using yellow or blue, and that the picture must be altered. It's not! They were the coolest glasses ever, and I guess some jerk knew how rare and "impossible" they were, because he didn't take the car stereo or my purse-- just the glasses.

I really want to get him a new pair of shades like this for our anniversary. Help!

I'm looking for a men's thumb ring in the NYC area.

Guy fashion question: I need a new summer look...what's in? I'm a normal guy, normal build, normal height. Help me find clothes that might give me options to dress casually for the summer. The big store ads show guys looking too modelish, as in "A real-live guy would never wear that." I know this question is vague, but I'm open to any suggestion that you think would look pretty cool and casual on a guy for the summer. Not that it matters that much, but in terms of choosing colors, I have somewhat of a natural tan.

How do I find dress shirts that will fit me and stay tucked in?

How do I find dress shirts that will fit me and stay tucked in? I'm very much a tshirt and jeans kind of guy, but I work in government and I have to wear dress shirts or sweaters and khakis or dress pants. I've been doing this for a few years now but I'm having trouble looking "good." I buy nice clothes from Banana Republic/Gap etc, but its still not working for me.

I get up and down all the time in my job, and by about noon if I'm wearing a sweater, its several inches above the line of my pants and the undershirt is showing. If I'm wearing a dress shirt, at least part of it is untucked, and the undershirt is entirely untucked and up inside the dress shirt bunched around my stomach.

From the top of wear my pants sit (above my hips) to my armpit is 14 inches. From the top of my pants to the point on the back of my neck is 20 inches. I'm 5'8", 170lbs, and wear medium shirts. I tried a few large shirts but I just end up swimming inside of them.

Do I just have a long Torso? Do I not know how to wear shirts appropriately? Do I need a tighter belt? If I have a long torso, where do I find shirts that will do what I want?

Normal ejaculation for men?

Male ejaculation question: My boyfriend takes a long time to ejaculate (40 minutes to an hour and a half, and sometimes not at all). He says its normal for him, and he doesnt mind. But i find it really frustrating having to go that long, and still sometimes have to stop with him unsatisfied. Is this normal? He is not on any medication, or has any health problems that would affect this. I have tried talking to him about it but he always shrugs it off as not a big deal at all.

Help me buy a basic business wardrobe.

My role and environment at work has recently changed and I have forgotten how to dress. How can I quickly buy the right wardrobe? For several years now I have worked for a large company as a manager in a manufacturing plant. As such I have grown used to business casual at the most extreme end of casual. (My controller showed up to work the other day in jeans and a sweatshirt). I am now changing roles into one that will require ~70% travel and will take me out into many other locations in the same company including more "corporate" environs. It could be described as a business unit executive role instead of a location management role.

After my trip last week I realize that I am not comfortable at the level of dress I currently have (bills khakis and eddie bauer oxford type shirts). I need a total wardrobe revamping. My preference would be to go spend a bit of money (<2k) now to get to a baseline and add things as necessary over time. I would prefer to coordinate around around black shoes and belt simply as a matter of compactness and convenience.

Items of note:

The company culture at large seems not to wear suits and ties and doing so might be a little over the top.

I am a large individual 6'4" 260lbs

Simple is better for me, stuff should mix n' match.

So to make my question specific: What items do I need to buy in order to have 2 full weeks of clothing (one to pack and one being cleaned) appropriate to my new role? What kinds/colors of trousers? What kinds/colors of shirts? From where? What kind/color of jackety thing to travel with to smarten up these shirts and pants (though likely still without a tie)? The ideal answer would be one I would print out and take to a specified place and tell them "I need this in my size."

philosophy of fashion

philosophy of fashion im feeling a little bit screwed in terms of fashion. i started out not wanting to look like everyone else, and this has lead me to be spending undue amounts of time and money on fashion in order to sustain this. shoes for example: for running shoes pretty much the only thing i will wear is onitsuka tigers because they dont have very good distribution in canada right now so not a lot of people are wearing them. pumas would be fine except that everyone wears them so i wouldnt be caught dead in them. so theres the issue of not wanting to look like everyone else in a consumer society and the possibility of this being a fools errand or something.
the thing is though that i dont want to look 'elite', yet thats pretty much the way i dress. i dont want to look hard to talk to. i want to be approachable. i want to dress according to my environment. having recently moved to a small town, i kind of feel like i need a different wardrobe. for example right now im looking for sunglasses that arent fashionable yet that i dont feel stupid wearing.
if we were alone in the world what would we care what we looked like. so fashion is about presenting an image of yourself to other people. ive got 2 options as i see it: continue working out what i like to wear and face the real possibility that this will lead me further into obscure and expensive stuff that will never leave me satisfied, or just drop fashion alltogether. what id like to know is whether a lot of people give up on fashion and what happened when they did. i realize that its only one factor in how you present yourself to the world.
er, thanks!
also i think this is part of a larger trend toward 'eliteness' where i find most music, movies, conversation, etc spectacularly bad. ive already dropped music alltogether. oh lord what have i done to myself.

Shaving stuff

Is there a barbershop (or other shop) in Boston or Cambridge, MA where I can buy 'real' shaving stuff--e.g., Trumper's shaving cream or shaving soap? I've been to Leavitt and Pierce in Harvard Square, and I know Crabtree and Evelyn and The Body Shop have house brands--but is there anywhere I can pick up any of the awesome shaving soap / shaving cream / aftershave stuff that is of Trumper quality? I'm doing the whole shaving brush / safety razor thing and it's awesome, but I need a shaving supply refill and would prefer not to go through the mail.
