How can I help my boys grow up to be healthier happier feminist men?

Inspired by the EL thread and the askme on it after following this moving thread about male socialization, what can I do as a parent (specifically a mother) do to help my sons grow up to be happier and healthier feminist men in a toxic patriarchy? What resources and strategies can I add to my parenting toolbox?

Throwing a Bachelor Party for a guy you don't know very well?

So my sister is getting married next week, and I'm the Maid of Honor and have been planning her bachelorette party for months. However, her groom -- for various reasons I won't bore you with -- has found no one on his side is going to be throwing him a bachelor party. I'm thinking I may have to swiftly organize a bachelor party or some kind of event for the groom as well, to keep my sister happy and of course for his own enjoyment. Are there any ideas for what to do? [more inside]

The Feminist sexually active man- a reading list?

I'm making up my spring and summer reading list for a new project and I need books that look at the concepts of masculinity, dating and sex (for boys/men) written from a feminist perspective. Specifically, books that tackles the following subjects: Gender and sexuality spectrums, dating and relationships (anti Game stuff), teenage boy/young men psychology, parenting feminist boys, sex education, whatever, the whole deal. Ideally, I'd like more academic texts- but give me anything you like. Even things that you think are tangentially related or reading list links that you think might fall in line. Thanks!

Masculinity Building Workshops and Techniques

Hi Brilliant People! I'm researching organizations and leaders in communities of people who are anti-feminist and working to preserve male supremacy, masculinity building for men who may be viewed as weak and techniques used to promote these ways of thinking. Actual people and organizations doing this would be helpful. Also any depictions in film, tv, literature, etc. would be great. Also, any new stories you know of men who have been traumatized by this kind of treatment. Thanks so much!!!

So I'm pretty much not looking for a suit on craigslist anymore, right?

I have a very very niche job. I've been doing it for over ten years now and have made about $28,000 per year. Because of my experience, I was called in for a meet and greet. It was going to lead nowhere. So, I pretty much blew it off, and blew the next one off, and showed up to the third because it was on my way home. They hired me and gave me a job that pays about $786,000 per year. I was told that they had reservations about me and told me they were bothered by the fact that I wore "denim with unpatched holes" at the interview. I didn't even think I was being considered. This is very unreal. And now I will have a job that pays me more in my bimonthly check than my last year's entire gross. I will be working with a different clientele, and my position will have more prestige than previously. So how do I dress? [more inside]

Best NYC clothes stores for larger guys? Goal: step up from jeans & tees

Which clothing stores in NYC have good casual/business casual clothes for larger men? My boyfriend and I are going clothes shopping this coming Saturday to prepare for an upcoming trip. He has a suit, but other than that, all his clothes are jeans and tees. For this trip, we are looking for: casual button down shirts (oxfords or plaids), non-jeans/non-khaki trousers, a sport coat or blazer, and some shoes that fall in between the New Balance sneakers he usually wears and the nice black shoes he wears with his suit. Best Toiletry Bag Contents?

An unexpected late holiday gift has left me the owner of an amazingly capacious leather toiletry bag (this one to be exact) to replace my previous canvas sack. What can I put in it to make it the best men's toiletry bag ever for someone who travels frequently? Good-quality men's warm pajamas (not made in China)

Misterben is seeking good-quality warm men's pajamas. LL Bean is excluded since the quality has dropped in recent years. Pants only or a set are OK. Flannel is preferable, although fleece will also be considered. The price should be approximately under $50 USD. Finally, they must not be made in China or from a brand that is known to use sweatshops. He loves US-made brands but we know that is hard to find at this price point.

Previous times like this I've focused on making my skill-set or apartment better/fancier, but now I want to focus on myself. Good skin moisturizer for men?

I'm in Canada, and I was wondering if there is a good skin moisturizer for men. I cannot stand scents (I have asthma). I used to use something ten years ago called "Face Protector" from the Body Shop, and it was perfect. I find that many moisturizers out there are either scented, or have a waxy residue (Skin Protector melted in after about 2 minutes and was great). The Body Shop's newer products are too "watery" and also burn my skin (!) I have sensitive skin and also suffer from ingrown hairs after shaving or when my skin is dry.
