Trying to find a quote from Gone with the Wind

I'm trying to find an excerpt/quote from Gone with the Wind (the movie). Someone (I think Rhett but I'm not sure) is criticizing Ashley (to his face? behind his back? can't remember) for being unfair to both Scarlett and Melanie. I thought it was along the lines of Ashley being too weak to either love her properly or give her up properly. Help? [more inside]

What is the most effective way to study in law school?

I've been given lots of conflicting advice about how one should approach the study of law. While I know the hoary old advice that one should do whatever works best for oneself holds true, I hope that the collective wisdom of former law students has more insight to offer than that! [more inside]

I need to be able to memorize several formulas for a test next week

I'm taking a numerical methods class and there are all these discretization schemes of partial differential equations named after pairs of dudes and they all are kinda the same, maybe a bit different in indexes.... I'm trying to organize it all in my head, like a frat house, with the dudes that worked on the same scheme being roommates, but it seems to be taking a long time to actually "find" a place for each scheme in their "rooms" and keeping it there in a sort of visual arrangement. Test is no books no notes, and everything kinda of just jumbles inside my head right now.

Help me with this (potentially triggering) childhood memory

I have this memory that's been bugging me for way too long. I don't know if this might be triggering for some of you, but I do want to give you a heads-up that it might be. It has to do with an encounter I had with a gym teacher, when I was six. I'm wondering if what this gym teacher did was at all *not* as intensely creepy as I feel it was. [more inside]

What children's book of horror stories am I trying to remember?

When I was in third grade, I read a book of scary stories. It was certainly a book for children. On the cover was a humanoid monster with black and blue fur. It was snarling in front of a green sky over a green field. The field may have been a graveyard. One of the stories was about a house in which a murder occurred. I don't remember the title. Does the description sound familiar to anyone else?

How to prevent confused elder from dismantling technology components.

An elderly relative, once technically savvy, now goes into fugue states where, in his confusion, he dismantles computer and A/V setups, with no one in the household to reconnect them properly. I'm looking for a way of securing A/V and computer connections while leaving the function of the devices still accessible. The alternative so far is spending endless hours with the cable company to get them to send someone to help, or paying someone else to come by. Phone instructions are no good, and there is no one in the household who can help.

Where's this face from?

I've had this image of a face stuck in my head for a few weeks now, and I'm sure that it's from a TV show I saw as a child. I believe the image may have come from a skit about a sketch artist trying to identify someone, and that -- within the skit -- pieces of that face were erased and re-drawn. Maybe at some point, a hat is drawn onto the top of his head? I want to say this skit may have been on Sesame Street. Can you tell me what skit I'm thinking of?

Could I have heard 'O Siem' before 1995?

Wasn't the song 'O Siem' around before Susan Aglukark recorded it in 1995? I feel certain that I heard it in the 70s. In case it matters, I lived in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada as a child from 1971 to 1979, and it was during this period that I believe I heard the song on the radio. The Wikipedia entry for the song credits Aglukark as one of the writers and mentions no other versions. I also can't find any earlier reference on allmusic or via a Google search. Could it have been spelled differently? I think the lyrics were the same. I remember the title phrase being pronounced "oozy-em" and the inclusion of at least some of the same lines as in the chorus of the Aglukark song: "O Siem / We are all family / O Siem / We're all the same". I'm an amateur musician and have a very good music memory. If this is a false memory, it is an incredibly convincing one, and I have not previously (knowingly) experienced anything similar.
