EYE OF THE TIGER

What are some of the most stirring and melodramatic sports compilation videos on Youtube? For example Rivaldo's hattrick against Valencia or Lance Armstrong climbing Luz Ardiden. Any sport. It can be one game, match, event, or an overview of an entire career. The more music from the score of Gladiator utilised, and the more emotional the commentary, the better.

DramaticGroundhogFilter

Please help me find or create "dramatic groundhog"-like sound effects. I'm directing my high school students in a play, and we need a music cue that sounds something like the sound in the dramatic groundhog youtube video.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=a1Y73sPHKxw&feature=related

Hive mind, there are a couple of ways you could help me:

-Point me to a clean-sounding .wav file of the aforementioned 5-second bit of music or to something from the same genre.

-Point me to sheet music or tablature of the chords of the music that I could use to program a half-baked version into Garage Band.

Thanks much!

What makes something melodramatic?

What makes something melodramatic? I have an idea of its
definition, based on context; but would never use this word, since I'm not exactly sure -- what does it mean to you? I've known people who use the term to mean something like dramatic or overly dramatic or emotional, over-wrought or even hysterical. So, okay, dramatic; but why mellow? I first encountered the word long ago, when I'd scan
TV Guide's movie listings, seeking out those labeled
"Science Fiction" -- the most common descriptive
was "Melodrama." Why not just "Drama"?
