I am flying on an airplane and I need to pack all my medications - roughly 18 bottles, two inhalers, and two small quantities of liquid. What is the best kind of container to use, considering the needs and desires of both the TSA and the airline staff? [more inside]
After a long break I'd like to try dating again. i'm recovering from depression and am on medication, which i've heard can be deal-breakers for some people. Should I say I'm on meds in my profile, or should I bring it up while texting/chatting or maybe on the first date? or is it none of their business until we get more intimate? please help me decide!
You are not my psychiatrist! But maybe you have some idea about why this is happening. I've been diagnosed with dysthymia, major depression (in an episode now, triggered by trying to taper off of Cymbalta), and inattentive-type ADHD. I take a passel of stimulating psych meds but am still lethargic and, currently, pretty depressed, and my psychiatrists (two in the past year) don't know why. [more inside]
It's extremely unpleasant and has not gotten better after two years of "working through it", but it's technically "mild". Is it bad enough to try meds? [more inside]
I have been in therapy for a little while for anxiety/obsessive thoughts. This has gone very well so far, but I still feel awful, and I am wondering whether I should try meds. Snowflakes after the jump. [more inside]

Are there any traditional or non-traditional prescription medications for anxiety that don't pose a risk of sexual side effects or hair loss? SSRIs can cause both. Buspar poses a risk of hair loss, and benzos like valium pose a risk of sexual side effects. Is there anything that doesn't?
Looking to buy Revolution Heartworm medicine for dogs from an Online Store that ships to Canada. Have had a hard time finding what looks like a reputable site. Does anyone here have experience with a good place to find pet medicine online?
I was diagnosed with ADHD ~5 years ago. Since that time, I've been on a steady dose of Adderall XR (25-30 mg per day). I've always been decent at small talk and could keep up a stream of lively banter and my fair share of comebacks. But, about a last year, I have noticed concerning changes in many aspects of my speech... [more inside]

hello world. I am having a pretty terrible time with my brain. Since lobotomies didn't end well, really, I am looking around for other options. Certainly I should get right on top of exercising, and meditating, yes.. I agree.. working on that.. do not think meds are the whole answer.. but hope that they sort of be a little crack in this whole moras, which might enable me to be able to.. do all the other things (eg exercise, meditate, take care of myself, be easier for others to be around, and for me to be around, etc.) ok.. more below the fold [more inside]

I was prescribed a shot (some broadspectrum antibiotic that hurt really bad) and pills: 500mg Keflex 4x/day for 10 days. This was to treat a pubic boil. My compliance has sucked to say the least. I try hard to remember but I'm not doing well with it. I've taken 11 pills out of 40. I should have taken 35 pills by now. Am I hurting myself? Should I continue taking them? I have a message into my doc to fess up to my slackitude.
I went to the doctor a couple of months ago after recognizing that my anxiety was getting out of control. I was prescribed Cymbalta and generic xanax to take as needed. My dr strongly suggested that I see a therapist and/or psychiatrist. [more inside]

ExerciseFilter: I've been doing the gym thing at least 3x per week for about 3 or 4 months now. Strength training and cardio mix. About 6 weeks ago, I started Trileptal as a mood stabilizer (I am not epilectic). I am on no other meds. It's the type of drug where you ramp up your dosage over a period of time. In the last two weeks, my low THR feels like my heart is pounding as if I'd just been in car accident. [more inside]
In order to save money on my prescription meds, I've been mail-ordering from Canada and the UK. However, I know that the online pharmacies that handle the process add a significant markup over the in-country prices available through the respective national health care systems. Over the next four weeks, I will be in both Canada and the UK. Can I fill my prescriptions directly, with a US doctor's written prescription? If not, is there some way to obtain a local physician's prescription? (The meds are psych meds, if that makes a difference.)
Is a saline sinus rinse a good way to clean all the excess coke out of your sinuses after a hard night of partying?
Bipolarfilter: I'm in a weird situation - I lost my health insurance, ran out of two of my meds, and now it's a month til my appointment with a good practitioner. There's more to it, but I just generally wanted some help with coping strategies to help me get through this next month. Some of the time I feel ok, but other times nothing feels good and I burst into tears at the drop of a hat. [more inside]
