When I'm battling an infection/virus for a few days, my body temperature climbs as the sun goes down. My village elders tell me this is normal. Why do fevers get worse after sundown, but subside in the morning?

I'm a male in my mid-twenties, active, and have been for the most part healthy. A few months ago I started getting some strange symptoms, and pain in one of my testicles. I was uninsured so I went to the doctor
anonymously and paid cash. His thoughts were it was probably just a standard infection, and gave me some antibiotics and told me to come back if the pain persisted. Around that time I also went to an anonymous city clinic to see if it could be an STD and everything up until then checked out OK. There was a test *Syphilis that I hadn't called back on for results, I did so today and they said the test was negative as well, but there was "something else was going on".. Apparently, the second part of the Syphilis test showed them this. I also asked again about the STD related stuff and they said all that was fine.

I've been looking for a way to help my girlfriend cover, or at least reduce the visibility of, a scar on her stomach. She is quite self-conscious about it, especially when we make love.
I've searched up and read
many discussions of similar topics here on AskMeFi, but most of the suggestions seem to assume that the scar is recent. My girlfriend's scar dates from 2002. We know that surgery will eventually be necessary, but for various reasons it isn't practical at this time. What techniques have MeFites found successful when trying to cover or eradicate older scars?

My regular doctor quit the medical group and I was assigned to a new doctor. Its the second time in three years. The new doctor wouldn't renew any of my prescriptions without seeing me first. During the office visit, we met, chit-chat a bit, and I get the refills. Now I get a bill for $198. (adjusted to $142 by my major medical coverage) The medical group is the having trouble retaining staff. Shouldn't this visit be on their dime?

Could anyone provide examples of medical devices that assist the elderly / assisted-living patients? (for instance, LifeAlert, the device that can be used to notify authorities if an elderly person is in danger). I'm doing an analysis on such devices, but I need to formulate a list of the different types of technologies available first.
Keep in mind, this list includes both monitoring devices and assistive devices.

FrostbiteFilter: Last night my hands were exposed in 20 F (-7 C) weather for about 10 minutes. I was finally able to warm them up and restore circulation. But the tip of the little finger and the tip of the thumb still (18 hours later) have that pins and needles feeling. They are not discolored, swollen or numb, and there is no loss of motion. Do I need to seek medical attention or will this feeling eventually go away by itself?

I'm on day three of medicating with Bupropion (Wellbutrin generic), 150mg once daily, sustained release. This is my first time on any sort of anti-depressant, and I've started itching. I'd rather not call a doctor (I realize that's silly, but humor me), and webpages I've looked at seem split about whether itching is a rare, Stop Medicating Immediately side-effect or a common nuisance. Please advise?

About a month ago, my pregnant wife and I were in a minor fender bender on Rt. 202 in NJ. The woman before us stopped short, and we hit her going about 20 mph. This wasn't our fault. Their wa sa police car who made an erratic turn at the merge of the road that cause a few cars in front of us to swerve and or strop short at the time. The mini-van had a minor scratch and bump. Our jeep had no damage..... I don't know the full details of the law, but NJ law seems to say that the person who hits from behind is automatically at fault. Period.
