I really love works of fiction that use the style, setup, or form of another media product as a means of storytelling and sometimes subversion. For example: TEDxSummerisle
(complete with tweets and botched livestream) and The Theory of Narrative Causality
, written primarily in the form of Livejournal posts by the Sherlock Homes fandom (inc comments and bits of fanfic) as well as GChats, TVTropes, and related media. What other similar works are out there? [more inside]

I'm at home ill at the moment, watching lots of films and reading a lot (this week I've watched 14 films and read 2 books). I'd like to find sites (or podcasts/lectures/etc) that intelligently examine media and/or popular culture. I regularly read articles on Popmatters
and sometimes the A.V. Club
(but not so much). What are your favourite film/media crit resources? Podcasts? Lectures? Thank you in advance for any help!

Who can tell me lots about Arvo Pärt and/or Für Alina?
I'm a big fan of Part and Fur Alina in particular. I've read what I can find online but need more. I'm writing a short story where Fur Alina plays a major part, and I need to know as much as I can about it, specifically, or Part, more broadly.
You can talk about it from a more technical standpoint or biographical or whatever--anything will help. Thanks!

Our non-profit arts organization has just earned the support (in the form of a very big grant
) from an internationally renowned foundation. We've got a good system of press releases that we send out to local and regional contacts, but we're idealistically looking to see some national artistic attention as the result of getting this grant. Where/who should we attempt contact to really get noticed? [more inside]

How is the meaning
of art and artefacts being altered by the methods we use to: Experience
them... In other words, in what ways have technologies been used to experience, re-define and/or preserve art and artifacts? [more inside]

Ideas for seeking corporate donations of tech equipment and air travel? I'm one of the co-founders of a free arts/tech workshop happening for the first time this August in Serbia. We've already had some modest success getting funding for this through traditional channels, but I also want to approach hardware companies and airlines to see if they can help us.
