You love Blade Runner, I love Blade Runner - a little too much. I need more. What are the best pieces of future noir media with the same setting/atmosphere? [more inside]
I want to compile a list of art works that used chance operations and/or randomness in their creation. I am keen to incorporate pre-20th century, non-Western works, and lots of works by female artists, but anything you can think of will be super helpful. [more inside]
I want to combine the perfect smoothness of parchment with the thickness of 140lb watercolor paper, so that I can use watercolors as well as undiluted acrylic paint in the same piece without the support becoming warped. [more inside]
My favorite part of museums these days are the visible storage units. My favorite part of natural history museums are old-fashioned drawers filled with air-tight cases. I want to know more about the history and practice of storing/preserving art objects, paintings, sculpture, textiles, etc. What books/websites should I be reading to find out more? The more weirdly medium specific and detailed the better. Strange anecdotes very much welcome.
I'm looking for original self-marketing ideas for a writer and/or a designer. Okay, social media is important: Design your own page, update it frequently and get your friends to like it and promote it to their friends. But I'm looking for those kinds of tips that you've read and thought to yourself "Well that's original!". Something on par with Nine Inch Nails'/H2DA/Radiohead's decision to give their music for free "lest they come to the unique live concert experience" marketing ploy. Have you ever come across a Seth Godin or a Malcolm Gladwell book (or anything else) and was struck by something interesting?
I have digital illustrations that I'd like printed out, framed and on the wall. I'm not sure where the best place to go is. [more inside]
Who represents learning disabled artists? Or how can I find blogs or catalogs that feature learning disabled or developmentally disabled artists working in any media? Europe and South America especially but welcoming feedback about the rest of the world. Thanks!

I like to think that I'm pretty good at web/graphic design, programming, motion graphics, and a lot of other new media type things..but I'm a left-brained guy. How do I put together a portfolio (or otherwise market my skills) to show what I'm good at, even though I'm not the type of person to sit around and make art? [more inside]

I'm trying to cultivate a certain kind of beauty in life - something exemplified by the likes of Dumbo feather, pass it on and Keri Smith's blog. Where else can I find such beauty? [more inside]
A number of years ago I saw a photograph in an art magazine of a work by an artist I'm having trouble remembering. The photograph was of an ethereal and calm beach scene, with an endless blue/green sea and a washed out horizon, and tiny plastic figures placed throughout the water and beach at various positions, so that from our perspective these figures looked human and real. Any idea how I can find this image or artist?

What's a good way of deciding if I should wait a year before applying to grad school? I'm in a surprising circumstance that my music career might be somewhat sustainable and potentially profitable, and with many of the new opportunities coming at me, I wonder if my plans of going to grad school could be placed on hold for a year. What's a good & rational way to decide? [more inside]

Twins of the world! This is a question for you: what media (books, movies, documentaries, poems, photographs, paintings etc), fiction or non, do you feel best expresses your own experience as a twin? All lengthy anecdotes welcome :-) [Here's your opportunity to deny or confirm the suspicion that all twins love the Polish Brothers.]
