Does anyone know where to buy Hemp linen material at a good price and reliable supplier. I have a project coming up and need about 20 yards by next week. Light weight natural linen is what i am looking for.

Where can I find 2mm-4mm neoprene in the Chicago area (preferably the northern suburbs)? I'm looking for the stuff that is fabric coated on both sides. I can find it all over the place online, but I'm not having any luck with local suppliers. I'd like to buy locally because I'm in a bit of a time crunch and I'd like to make sure I'm getting what I need. [more inside]

What is the difference between card stock and construction paper?
Any web searches reveal that they're of similar weight/size and are used in standard art projects, but being from non-US, they're not specific enough for me to understand what it is.
Where I live, it's all "cardboard" to us =\

Can anyone tell me where to research/find bulk viscoelastic rubber, or molded rubber that has viscoelastic properties? I'm looking for a material that when stretched, takes its sweet time in returning to its original size/shape. Turns out there are no rubber stores in my area to browse, thus no experts to turn to. Most info I've found online is scientific discussions about rubber properties.

Inexpensive or reasonably priced fabric (dressmakers) available online (retail). Either within Australia (or ships here - without costing a fortune!).
I'm after a bit of (cotton) broderie anglaise, lycra, some cotton drill and a rayon/cotton/stretch blend to be precise but.. whatever you've got - I'll take it!

I'm about to go on a looooong plane trip (two stop overs, 22 hours total travel time.) Can anyone suggest a couple of books? I like non-fiction, true life stories (i.e., about slavery, mafias in different American towns, Irish potato famine, dustbowl accounts.... should be an easy read since I'll be on planes and in airports. Thanks!

I am just finishing a stone sculpture. First time at this. I am wondering what kind of hand finishers, grit, sand paper, wax, etc does one use for the fine finishing and polishing work. I am just about done with rasps. And, do you know what links are good resources.

What does the term "Chicago brick" mean? I Googled and found plenty of references, but no definition. I have heard that it refers to houses done in multi-colored brick, but it may also refer to a certain type of brick. Interested in photos, any info about derivation of the term. Thanks!
