Anyone who has been to Australia or talked to any Australian males (sometimes females) will know they frequently call people they have never met before or even people they're angry with: "mate". What other expressions of universal male bonding are used in other countries?

I'm in the market for some Yerba Mate, either online or in a store. My options in the real world are Bloom, Farm Fresh, and The Fresh Market... but it seems like I might be able to find a better deal online. Is there something like Adagio for tea that has mate (cheap + good, of course) in the loose leaf state?

Which species of ducks mate for life? My info tells me so far that most do: Mallards, Mandarins, Whistling Ducks, Maned Ducks, not to mention geese and swans. But Emperor Ducks are not monogamous? Any other species? And I've read that a surviving Mallard will "remarry" if its mate dies. Is this true, true for both sexes, and do the other species do the same?
