Is the answer just the "Eyes Wide Shut" soundtrack? I hope not.

We're having a masquerade ball, but I'm at a loss for the best kind of music for the event. What should we play? We rented out a mansion for a silly masquerade ball/costume party. We've joked that it will be like "Eyes Wide Shut," but with less freaky sex and murder. I'd like to play some music that maintains an appropriate mood for the event, but I doubt our usual indie rock mix fits the bill. What are some musical pieces and/or artists that would fit the mood of this kind of event?

Who painted it?

Can you help me find a painting? Last week someone showed me an old program they had designed for a small piano recital, asking me if I could recreate it for her. The cover had a painting on it that was unfamiliar to me, but immediately upon seeing it I associated it with Toulouse-Lautrec ... his style and colors and the period. I've since spent some time image googling and browsing galleries to no avail. I don't have a copy to scan, unfortunately. The woman who showed me the program is on vacation.

These are the details, of which I'm relatively certain: I'm not sure if what I saw was the whole painting or a cropped section of it, but it was done in yellows, reds, whites, golds and blacks. The setting seemed to be a masquerade ball. There was a harlequin-type clown on the right, and the focus of the painting (in the center) was a woman holding a white fan. She may have had a mask on. I think she was wearing a ball gown. Those two were in the foreground. The harlequin was facing the woman. There were several less important people on the left, and two or three abstract dancers in the background. The program designer doesn't know who the artist was or the name of the painting. Do you?

Halloween: costume ideas?

Halloween: costume ideas? I'm trying to think of a cheap DIY costume for a halloween party for a bunch of 20-30 somethings. I've been browsing the thrift stores for ideas, but have so far just come away with the usuals: cowboy, pirate, etc. I'm going after something unique, perhaps Bob Ross. Any other ideas/suggestions? Some thoughtful pranks might also be in order.
