Best county to get married in courthouse in Georgia - waiting period

I was told that in Georgia I can get married in any county I want since I am a resident (fiance is Japanese and immigrating here on K visa). I was wondering which courthouse might have the lowest waiting period? We want to get married as soon as possible after she arrives here. I am in Atlanta area so closer is better. Any other advice is welcome as well.

afraid to confront husband about sex life

My husband (I'm female) and I have been going through a really tough time (infertility at a young age), and we've been working together to reframe our lives together and as a couple. We've been discussing what's working and what's not. He seems very dedicated to building a future together, despite his lack of follow through on issues we talked about, including sex life. How can I be less needy?

My about 15-year marriage is in severe difficulty. A big part of this is me being too needy. My wife and I knew I was needy before we got married, but both thought that getting married would fix it. It hasn't. I'm taking an antidepressant, and we are in therapy and both committed to staying together. I've read some other answers on AskMi, and am following up with some book recommendations, but I feel like I need more help. [more inside]

The Childless Dating Those With Children

I'm currently seeing a man who has children, and this is my first experience with such a situation. It's new, so I've only just started asking the important questions, i.e., why did you divorce in the first place, how long have you been divorced, how is your relationship with your ex, are you both at peace with how it ended? etc. Everything seems to check out so far, but I know it would be foolish to think I won't encounter some unique problems if things get serious. Cheating is apparently a virtue.

My husband recently told me he wants to be cuckolded. While I'm up for flirting and creative exaggeration to make him happy, actually having sex with someone else is not remotely an option for me. Unfortunately, it seems that anything less is not an option for him. [more inside]

Married in a Catholic church? What was Pre-Cana like?

I'm wondering if others can share their experience with the Pre-Cana classes/process before getting marred in a Catholic church. I've looked online and found very vague descriptions and I'd really like to know what we're going to be involved in. Especially interested in the FOCCUS test they have you take (I haven't been able to find sample questions and I really want to know what sort of things they ask to see if you are 'compatible'. Please share as much as you can or are comfortable with.

How to stop married man from flirting when it's reciprocal

How to stop married man from flirting when it's reciprocal? I'm a notoriously bad crusher. Even though almost everyone would describe me as a competent, sensible, self-assured and promising young woman, I completely loose myself when someone breaks through to my inner core. It's not that it happens all the time either, but when it does it's with a vengeance. I would definitely describe it as a 'crushing' sensation. [more inside]

What can I learn about women's changing roles in the world?

In the U.S., we get all caught up in the decisions that adult women make and the consequences of those decisions. (To have children, not to have children, to work, to stay home with the children, not to work, to marry, to have children without marrying, etc.) Are there similar convulsions about these cultural issues in other countries, especially non-English speaking ones? How can I learn about them? I'm curious both about how women's roles in in their societies are changing and about how those societies are reacting to the changes.

My husband has a crush.

My husband has a crush on a woman friend of his. I heard it in the sound of his voice when he spoke to her on the phone. As I'm not a jealous person, this has really taken me aback. He doesn't deny it but says that it will never progress to anything else and that they are very good friends. I like her too, don't believe that either of them would ever be unfaithful. Just knowing that he has romantic feelings for another woman makes me feel terrible, and I can hardly look him in the eye. How do I deal with this and move along?
