How do I include a link to driving directions in an embedded Google Map?

What is the best way to embed a Google Map of a business's location, including a link to driving directions? This is for a small business's website. All I want is a small embedded map of the business's location, with a standard pop-up flag including links for driving directions, the address, etc. (Basically like what you see here, but without the extra search results on the left-hand side.

If there's a better input method for requesting driving directions, that would be fine too.

I would think that providing a map & driving directions to a specific business would be one of the most common uses of the Google Maps API, but I don't see any examples of what I'm looking for. Surely, there must be a simple, standard way to provide driving directions on your website… Right?

Is there a GIS + Google Maps website?

Is there a website that lets you show GIS data (i.e. standard geographical data from various sources) on Google Maps? I thought I had seen something like this referenced in a MetaFilter post, or here, but I can't find it anywhere. Help, o wise people.

Beginner Webdesign Filter: Big Pictures with Linking Parts

When designing webpages, what's the easier way to makes big pictures that open-up new information when different parts are clicked? I don't any experience with flash, but would flash be the easiest way to do this? (I'm not a huge fan either). I'm making a website that will contain maps of land plots under development, and I want it so that when certain "houses" are clicked, more info pops up on the property including pics, etc.

I'm not very experience webdesigner but I am accustomed to Joomla, HTML/CSS, and some basic javascripting.

I need a web app that lets visitors choose regions of a map...

I want to build/buy/hire someone to make something that lets visitors pick (multiple) geographical areas off a map. Something similar to this but better. Or, if you've got a better way to choose regions of a city that aren't a clickable map, what are they? What's involved? Is it possible to use googlemaps to do something like this? Should it be done with Flash? Can it be done without Flash? Do I have to pay a map service or...wha?

I know absolutely nothing about what needs to be done--just what I need it to do. Are there companies that already do this that I can hire? Are there pre-made apps to do this? Can anyone here do this? About what is this going to cost me? I'd prefer it to be Canada-wide but even Ontario-wide (for now) may suffice.

What's the best way to proceed?

And, if you can think of a better way for people to choose regions of a city that aren't a map, what are they?

Maps and Coordinates

Maps and coordinates. I'm testing out the feasibility of using maps on my website. The website providing the maps asks for particular types of coordinates yet I can't seem to find a way of working out what my coordinates should be. This could be complicated to explain so... [more inside] So I want to use Map24.com to map my users coordinates and to show their nearest neighbours

In the docs they give this example of usable coordinates:
Location in World coordinates (stated in minutes).
Example Mapsolute HQ in Eschborn:
wx<n>=514.227597291174&wy<n>= 3007.8407347798347</n></n>

So my plan is that if my users can get their coordinates from somewhere then they can just enter X and Y into their profile and we're laughing.

The problem is I can't work out where they can get these coordinates from. For example if I find an address on Multimap it gives me the following coordinates:
X: 530400m
Y: 184800m
Lat: 51:32:49N (51.5471)
Lon: 0:07:13W (-0.1202)

Which is great, except it seems to bear no relation to what Map24 wants and any version of those numbers that I put in ends up going straight into the sea. Splash.

So my questions are:
Can I easily convert those coordinates?
Can I find a better source for providing my users with coordinates that'll be Map24 compatible?
Is there a better all round solution somewhere else?
