A researcher at my workplace has asked for help finding examples of his topic, early examples of "GIS (Geographic Information Systems) or GPS (Global Positioning Systems) technologies in film and TV", "examples of early precursors to map related technologies". I found someone else's Ask from earlier this year that hits on some likely ones, but he's on the lookout for older and more diverse instances if you can think of any. Two seemingly unrelated design/illustration questions:
1. What are some of the fonts that have associated with soft drink companies have used over the years? I realize those logos are hand-drawn, but some, like that for New Coke, seem to have clear typeface antecedents.
2. Where can I find vector-based maps of various states? Specifically, North Dakota.
