So basically I'm trading a manpurse in for a man pocketbook....

I read and get cold; where is the winter coat that can hold a medium-sized book? I'm done with the manpurse and I'm sick of being limited to my small book shelf when I read on the subway. Carrying the book throughout my day gets old, but a bag, no matter how stylish, for a single book feels like overkill. I'm to books as Linus is to his security blanket, so I want a coat that can handle a moderately sized book.

My style, other than bookworm, is calm late twenties/early thirties. I have a relaxed work environment, but am personally not into garish or shiny. I live in the borough of kings, so some style is fine, and some warmth is nice.

Help me Metafilter, you're my only hope.

Rubber Man-Purse?

Where can I find a rubber man-purse online? I have a rubber man purse made by "agility" (googled all over, no sightings) that I've used for 7 years. It's on its last legs.

I'd like another rubber bag! The one I have is black, with rubber that is thick and fairly shiny; people usually think it's rubber.

Any source of something like this on the web?

Thanks.

Recommendations for a man purse?

I think I need a man-purse. Any recommendations? What with a cell phone, PDA, Costanza wallet, digital camera, GBA, etc., I'm running out of pockets. Something manly yet stylish and versatile would be good. The ideal gadget bag would have enough easily-accessible pockets for all my stuff, yet would be small enough that I wouldn't just be better off carrying around a backpack or messenger bag. Just for reference, I have a thick trifold wallet, a flip cell phone, and a small Clie that I always carry around. In addition, I have a first generation gameboy advance and a somewhat bulky digital camera (Sony DSC-F717--btw, any good suggestions on a camera bag as well?), one or both of which I occasionally cart around. I'd like it to be something I can cart anywhere, from the beach to a restaurant or party.

Any suggestions can be to bags that either do or don't fit the GBA and/or digicam, but the bag should be able to fit the stuff I always carry. Thanks for any suggestions.
