Hi, I'm learning Japanese and am a big fan of anime/manga/tv shows. I'm far enough long in my studies where I would like to start watching/reading them with Japanese subtitles instead of English subtitles. The only problem is... I'm having a hard time finding manga/anime. Any sources for original Japanese manga or Japanese-subbed anime? (Like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)
I have some fabric I picked up from a remnant stall a while ago. It has Japanese writing and pictures of faces all over it - is it just a random design or are these characters from some manga\anime? (The place also had Naruto fabric, but there,s no logo I recognise here, nor anything on the selvege.) Picture here. Any ideas? I want to check in case it'll unwittingly offend Japanese speakers!
Give me your recommendations for your favorite horror manga.

For a project I'm currently working on as part of my graduation in Graphic Design, I wanted to compile something like an atlas of fictional cities. These may be from books, legends, stories, video games, advertisements, comics, really whatever... Even "real" cities but alternate versions, imagined or in some way deviate from their real counterpart are valid. [more inside]
What are your favorite Anime and Manga magazines? [more inside]
Hoping to ID an incredibly violent manga that I read a few pages of, back around '88 give or take a couple of years. I've had some images seared in my then-impressionable brain. Lots of blood and gore but not explosively cartoonish like, say, Hokuto no Ken / Fist of North Star. More cruel than anything. Set in modern times. The main character was some sort of vagabond/wanderer/assassin, and was drawn in a Golgo 13 style, with longish hair and maybe a leather jacket. Episodic stories as far as I can tell of him going around fighting baddies. [more inside]
I live in New York City and am visiting Montreal and I'm looking for Chinese translated manga / manhua. Tian Hua in Montreal used to have some, but maybe they got rid of them when they moved? Is there another place that stocks them in either city? Bonus points if you know any good sources for Chinese children's books in either city.

MangaFilter: So, I recently watched Gantz, the live action movie, and it was so delightful, it inspired me to read the manga, and now I am addicted to it. A couple years back, I also enjoyed the DeathNote movies, as well as Oldboy. I seem to be attracted to a kind of manga that is quite grounded in reality, that trespasses into the fantastic, and goes to very dark places, and likes to play with ideas. Please, can you recommend other manga of the type I like? Thanks.

Does anyone know of any web sites that provide you spoken manga? Specifically what I'm looking for is audio files for manga, read in Japanese, so I can listen to it and follow along in the manga I already own. Sometimes I have my Japanese wife read a manga to me, but often she is too busy or unwilling. I can read it myself, of course, but my Japanese is not yet good enough to know proper pronunciation, intonation and rhythm, and so on, so I find it helpful if someone reads to me. Anyways, any ideas?

Trying to find a bizarre and disturbing short manga, featured on Reddit a month or two ago.
