Anyone ever heard of a skin- and hair-care brand called "Archive?" My manager got a trial size and is going batty looking for a source.

Here's what I know: I can access my smb share without difficulty via the Finder/Network or by mounting it manually, but what I can't seem to do is automount my samba share on boot/login. There's a
reward and twice more inside.

I've been 'administering' my office's Avaya IP Office phone system for about a year and a half. I say 'administering' because I have no idea what I'm doing. I find the system unruly and it's driving me nuts! I'm searching for anyone who is familiar with IP Office and can talk to me about some issues like the naive pseudo-administrator I am.

Have you ever bought or downloaded an application for your mobile phone that gives you a music manager and player just like the iPod? If so, I'd like to hear about it.

Is there such a thing as an Agent or Manager for an artist? Something similar to that role in the music or acting industry. If so, under what woodwork would these people be located?

My manager is resigning. Her position, by all rights, should be mine. I have recommendations from all the various people I work with on a daily basis, and at least two managers (my own, soon-to-be-gone, and another in a related department). The CFO doesn't think I'm ready, however, and is currently trying to head hunt....apparently with some success.
Should I resign if he ignores all these folks and doesn't even at least discuss the issue with me? I think it shows pretty clearly I don't have a future with this company....I've been here for years and can do the job.

What's the best way to keep track of an escalating number of logins and passwords? For the web, there's Opera's magic wand, but what about hosting accounts, ftp servers, ATM PINs, etc? Encrypted text file on the desktop? Scribbled note under the pillow? How do you manage (and hide) your password library?
