36 hours in Maine this weekend with a rental car. I am thinking of not getting a hotel room and instead car-camping. I'll be in Camden Maine for a wedding Friday and Saturday and plan to return to Boston late on Saturday to take a bus to DC. I want to spend as much of Friday wandering around Portland before driving to Camden and kind of want to spend the morning in Portland on Saturday, too. Is this a good idea? Any tips on quiet places to park and snooze?

WeddingInMaineFilter: I'm getting married in October in Portland, ME. We've got a venue, but that's all. I'd like to find a caterer who's creative and interesting and interested. We're easy going, but we'd really like to serve food that's good and not terribly boring. We're open to food from our cultures (puerto rican and irish) or others; we can go simple or sophisticated (but not super expensive); off the wall or on the way to traditional. We just don't want to eat bland crap. So: know any creative caterers in or near Portland, Maine?
