I had a return to Amazon. I printed the label they provided and put it on the envelope. I didn't realize it was a UPS label and not USPS until last night when I went to check the status of my return. I had accidentally put the envelope in a USPS mailbox on Monday last week, April 1. What is going to happen my package? [more inside]

I'd like to find an alternative to my current private mailbox setup. It's expensive, open limited hours, and service has not been stellar. The one I have now uses a street address instead of a PO Box, which I like. Also ARE THERE ANY STARTUPS TEARING UP THE PRIVATE MAILBOX SPACE. (I know about Outbox
but that seems to require a home mailbox, which I'm trying to avoid.) Thanks.

I'd like the mailbox to have something fun for my six-year-old son from time to time without breaking the bank, or putting him into a toy-acquisition frenzy. Any suggestions?

Need help from people renting a UPS mailbox: If mail has an address that is not exactly in the correct format, does it still get delivered? E.g., if it should be "456 This Street PMB 34567"' but it comes in as "456 This Street #34567" or even Apt 34567 or Suite 34567' does it get delivered?

Someone apparently opened a package in my mailbox and stole the mp4 player I had ordered from e-bay. There was no indication on the mailing envelope what the contents were: The person must have felt the package and guessed what it contained. They left the ripped open package on our porch, along with some other mail, and two Netflix envelopes, ripped open also, for a person further up the street. What do we do about this?

Quick question about the USPS: Can I ship a flat-rate Priority Mail envelope
by printing postage for it online and then dropping it in a blue USPS mailbox? Or do I need to take it to a post office?

The book I just received from Amazon is covered in ants, which have now infested my mailbox (and my nightmares). What to do, whom to contact? [more inside]

I am using Mail on OS 10.5.2. I have several mailboxes as well as subfolders. If I put messages in a mailbox that has subfolders, these messages do not appear when I look for them in the Finder. I'll try to be clearer inside. [more inside]

I have a curbside mailbox and mail theft is common in Utah (http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,600129714,00.html). Big Credit Card Company (BCCC) sends me convenience checks that can be stolen and cashed by anybody. The post office won’t let me move my mailbox to my house. Local politicians sided with the Postmaster. A rental box or a new security mailbox are impractical. [more inside]

In Thunderbird, I can make a smart mailbox that shows only messages I haven't replied to, but I can't change the size of the text in the message lists. In Apple Mail, I can change the list size but can't figure out how to make a smart mailbox that only shows unreplied messages. I think I'd be better at answering mail if I could solve either of these problems. Help?

Why do some neighborhoods get USPS mail delivered to their door (or at least to their property) and other neighborhoods get USPS mail delivered to mailboxes on the street near the recipients' property but not on it? [more inside]

I'm looking for a service where I can rent a personal mailbox, and when mail comes in, it is scanned and put somewhere where I can retrieve it electronically (or get the paper mail forwarded to me, wherever I happen to be at the time). I've been using these folks
in Las Vegas for a while (they're great, BTW)... but they only do the store-and-forward thing, and I'm really looking for electronic delivery whenever possible.
