Does anyone know how to install Smartboard software, so that it works with a Macintosh on Snow Leopard?

I'm wanting to send sound to and from a remote room in a house to a Macintosh sound in and out ports. I'm thinking wireless mic and wireless speakers. This is inside a standard ranch style house that spreads horizontally and would cross several walls.

Back in the day, I used to play this game Escape Velocity on my mac by a company called Ambrosia Software. Nowadays I use a Dell PC running Windows XP. Is there any program I can use to play EV?

Is there an application (for OS X) that shows me who's trying to connect to my mac? Kinda like
Little Snitch, but for incoming connections? Netstat just gives me a huge list of everything happening on all ports, which is kinda useless to me.
