So the superdrive on my Macbook Pro is having the same problem as a lot of people on Apple's discussion
website - it is spitting out most DVDs. I am outside the 90 day support period so I can't call them to tell me what to do but inside the warranty period, and an Apple Store is too far from me. What can I do about repairs?

What's the largest internal hard drive available for a Mac Book Pro? I currently have a 120 ATA drive that came preinstalled when I bought the computer. Preferably, I'd like to be able to have two internal hard drives, swapping out my DVD drive...I know that the MCE OptiBay Hard Drive 160gb/5400rpm is available, but I'd like something bigger!

How do I boost the volume output on my MacBook Pro? Even with everything maxed out it barely dents the volume my old Gateway produced. Is there a hack that will allow me to take the governor off?

Can I take the 512 meg SODIMM from a MacBook Pro (a PC2-5300 DDR2 chip, according to the MacTracker program), and put it in a 17" iMac G4, which wants PC2100?
What are the rules on this kind of backwards compatability?
