Help! Where can I find a copy of the Disney Channel original movie You Lucky Dog (wiki/imdb)? I've looked everywhere and can't find anything. Getting ahold of this would mean a lot to a very special friend. I'm basically willing to accept anything in any format and of any quality, and up to a reasonable price, if there's even anywhere that's selling it. Heck, if any of you MeFites have a old VHS recording of it sitting around, I would gladly pay for you to copy and ship it to me.

Upsidedown Cigarette

Has Anyone ever opened a packet of cigarettes and found one of them upside down? I just have, and it's freaked me out more than a little.

I've seen the "lucky" turn-it-upside-down thread but in 30 years of smoking 20 a day I have never opened a pack to find one already - and not just *any* one - upside down, but the front middle one at that!

I've seen various clips of the mass of cigarettes 'being procesed' conveyor-belt wise, and can understand an inversion happening - in a way I'm almost as surprised it doesn't happen more often - but once in what must be, in excess of, c12k packets that's a bit of a surprise wouldn't you agree?

So am I alone or has this happened to you too?

What's wrong with my lucky bamboo?

My lucky bamboo has developed bumps along the underside of the stalks. Does anyone know what is causing them, and if they are harmful to the plant? I've done some googling, which has led me to discover that it's not actually bamboo, it's dracaena sanderiana. I can't find anything to explain the bumps, though. I hope the plant isn't sick. It's the only green thing in my office and I get a ton of complements on it.

What's the proportion of four-leaf clovers among white clover? So I seeded some white clover in my back yard last year in the hopes of getting something to grow (grass has trouble it seems). So everything is looking good now. Oddly, between my daugther and myself we've pulled about a dozen four-leaf clovers out of the lawn this year. Which seems sort of unusually high. Has there ever been a study of the rate of four-leaf clovers? Is this a typical event whose frequency could be predicted by genetics?
White clover has the more rounded leaves and not the heart-shaped ones if it matters.

Why do people make a lucky cigarette in their packs of cigarettes?

How did the ritual of inverting a single cigarette in a fresh pack of cigarettes start? Was there some cultural reason, or a simple good luck charm?
