Anyone suffering from ITP? I was told I might have a mild case-ITP with platelets in the 120-130s and elevated MPV. What are your numbers? I am going to get a blood draw tommorow and I freak out... I know will not be perfect. I was told it will wax and wane normally. I am scared I will need one day a bone marrow biopsy. What is your experience?
Can anyone offer some helpful advice about good places to live in the United States that currently have a low cost of living? I expect to be placed on a fixed income soon of about $1300 per month, so I'd like to live somewhere where I could make that work. [more inside]

I'm used to odd noises from aeroplanes flying over my house, but in the past 15 minutes, two planes have flown over much lower, much faster and a shedload noisier than usual. How can I find out what's going on? More information: I live near Boston, in Medford. I am outside of the Class B controlled airspace for BOS. I've looked at FlightRadar24, but whatever it was didn't seem to be on there. I am not that far from Hanscom AFB, but am outside of their controlled airspace.
I started cymbalta in February. I have been diagnosed with dysthymia, low vitamin D, diabetes, and Hashimotos. I take metformin for diabetes and klonopin for anxiety as needed, which is once or twice a month. Two weeks later I had a friend staying with me and while she was there I woke up regularly. I ate breakfast every morning and had a nice routine going. I got a lot of exercise and felt less avoidant and irritable than usual. [more inside]
While driving in very remote small town I was cited for Failure to Stop. There are problems with the case, details here are not pertinent, I meant to contest in a hearing but forgot to send in the papers. Now MA wants to suspend permission to drive in the state unless I pay $380 to avoid the suspension. I barely have half that and rely on monthly social security. What can I do to find a solution to this problem? Before Dec. 31.
I live in Toronto I recently started a full-time job (two weeks ago) and I've been using a debit card (with RBC) for the past five years. I didn't want to get a credit card because I didn't want to get sucked into the system. But yesterday changed my outlook on things, so I decided to apply for a low interest card. Question is, what options do I have and would I get accepted? [more inside]

Contemplated new car comes in a base version with 17" wheels & 225/45 tires. But mostly because of a single feature (better seats) I'm thinking of getting a higher end version that comes with 18" 225/40's. Are the 225/40's going to be noticeable more troublesome with respect to blowouts, rim damage etc here in New England? Sales guy claims there is little or no practical difference. I know that the 225/40's should handle better but I don't really care about that.
I eat low-carb. No beans, no fruit, no lentils or quinoa or chickpeas. Instead, I eat LOTS of protein, fats, generally with salads. But I worry I eat too much meat, and I getting sick of salad, so I am looking for great vegetable recipes that are under 8 carbs a serving. [more inside]

Having found the lump a year ago this June, it took me until today to find the courage to try doing something. Many of the sites I found said to go through my local health department, so I finally worked up the courage to walk in today. They had no idea what to say, and no longer offer any program that would help. I walked out with a pamphlet for a clinic in another town that they think "might" have a program to help with a sliding payment scale but they weren't even sure about that. [more inside]

Searching for [reading glasses .50] gets me 2.50, etc., on both Google and Amazon. ReadingGlasses.com has expensive ones, but I'm hoping to find good, low-strength reading glasses for the same price one would pay in a drug store. Strength .5 and/or .25. Any specific recommendations or search tips? (and what is the unit of measurement, anyway?)
What kind of equipment could I purchase within a $300 budget for the backdrop and lighting? My house is naturally very dark. I use white plates and minimal props for the food. My camera is a Canon 40D. I don't have much time lately so I'll spend a little more for convenience. [more inside]

Unfortunately the beautiful ivory and crystal 3 inch pumps I bought for my wedding make my dress too short! I was kind of distressed, but now I'm seeing this as an opportunity to get a little wilder. Wedding colors are red-red and any shade of purple. Please link me any (well, no Chucks please and no flip flops) kind of pretty/sexy low heeled shoes (in ivory, muted gold, red, or purple). Interested in a kitten heel in ivory, but I'm also way more open minded now than I was before. Purple suede laceup Oxford with side cutouts? Sexy red patent kitten pump? Ankle booties? My dress is ivory lace, strapless, floor length. Thank you thank you thank you!

How can I get my sex drive back? I am a 26 year old male. I don't recall exactly when my problems started, but it's been going on for over a month. I'd like to think that I'm too young still for such a steep drop in libido to be normal. What makes it more worrisome for me is that I have no idea what might be causing it. [more inside]
I'm sick of Oklahoma, sick of cold and snow, sick of everything to do with this place. I want out of the state, but cant' decide where to go next. Over the last few years I've lived in San Diego, Orlando, Cocoa Beach, the Chicago area, Tulsa Ok, and originally the Phoenix area. Most of my moves have been prompted by having a friend with a couch willing to pick me up from the Greyhound station, but this time I'd like to go somewhere completely new and for the first time truly start over on my own. I can't believe I'm asking this, but I couldn't find an answer anywhere: what do the daily high and low temperatures provided with weather forecasts mean? I always thought they put a boundary on the range within which the temperature is predicted to fluctuate, with no particular assumption that those temperatures would be reached; however, I've recently had a few friends tell me that those numbers represent the predicted maximum and minimum temperatures that will actually be reached in the course of the day. Which is it?
