Lovecraft-inspired fiction and cookbooks (unrelated!)

I'm going to Powell's next weekend and planning on splurging on a bunch of books. I'm looking for recommendations on two totally different types of books from you lovely people - Lovecraft-influenced fiction, and cookbooks with good dishes I can take for my lunches. Looking for Lovecraftian Fiction that Engages with Racism

I just finished Matt Ruff's Lovecraft Country (verdict: pretty good, although it's more a set of linked short stories than a novel), and I read (or rather listened to) Victor LaVelle's The Ballad of Black Tom earlier this year (verdict: very good, but too short), and I'm looking for other fiction (preferably novels) that build on Lovecraft's influence but also addresses racism. Whose Lovecraft-in-suburbia art is this?

A while back I randomly downloaded this image, very possibly from a Metafilter thread, without noting the name of the artist. Anyway, I recently posted it to Facebook and one of my friends wants to know who the artist is as he's pretty sure he went to school with the guy ... but he forgets his name. Any ideas?

A gate and a monster appear -- on the wall!

I'm retooling my Arkham Horror game-board as a vertical, wall-mounted surface, so that I'll actually have room in my apartment for people to play without spending part of their turn sitting out in the hall. Help me figure out the best way to do this effectively, affordably, and awesomely. [more inside]

I recently bought the Laundry series by Charles Stross and thanks to that and Artw's constant efforts to encourage the stars to come right I'm really jonesing for some Call of Cthulhu/Delta Green action. It's been a loooong time since I've had any chance or time for roleplaying and I'm so far out of the loop I'm in non-euclidean space... [more inside]

Lovecraftian Lawsuits Pt II

This is a bit of a follow up to this question. I'm contemplating a small comics project staring a fictionalised version of HP Lovecraft (something I've done before but thsi will be slight higher profile) and the title will be something along the lnes of "H.P. Lovecraft's World of Weirdness". Is the use of his name in the title like that, which might imply some kind of authorship or endorsement or somesuch, likely to bring the Lovecraft estate down on me like a ton of bricks?
