Android device manager claims that my phone is somewhere in my house. But when I tell it to ring my phone at full volume, it claims that it's doing so, and then...nothing. My house is small. I have searched it from top to bottom, while the ringer should theoretically be sounding. I hear nothing. Which is more likely to be malfunctioning - the locator or the ringer? [more inside]
I lost my phone in November. I tried using Location History and Where’s My Droid to track it to no avail, then gave up and bought a new phone. Today, I noticed that about a month ago several selfies of a handful of guys in an electronics store had been uploaded to my Google Photos online. There is no location data associated with the photos, and from what I can tell I can't find it on Location History or Where's My Droid now. [more inside]
About a month ago, my mom misplaced her government-owned (work) iPhone 5. After a month of searching her home/car/office/relatives/everywhere to no avail, she copped up and told boss. They took the news well and paid for not only her new phone, but also for the loss of her old phone. Being the mischievous son I am, I want to make an attempt to retrieve the phone. [more inside]
My Nexus 7 was lost/stolen. I've changed my google, facebook and amazon passwords. Is there anything else I can do? It does not have 3G networking; only wi-fi.
A friend of mine lost her blackberry phone. What can be done on our end to get it back or get copies of the irreplaceable pictures of loved ones from it? Long-winded weepy details inside. [more inside]
I think I lost my Verizon phone. I had the same phone for the past 3 years, and I know that I was due for a new one for the past year. I do not have insurance, not that I know of at least. So, how do I go about replacing this phone? I am so confused... Will I have to pay for the new phone? (I am from another country, so I still do not fully understand how the cell phone stuff works here.)

My friend lost his cell phone last week at Great Adventure. He didn't listen to me and didn't report it to T-Mobile. Now he has a $700 bill due to someone making calls with his cell to the UK everyday. Is he screwed? [more inside]
I'm looking for a product that performs the same function as the "page" button on my cordless landline.
I'm looking for a product that performs the same function as the "page" button on my cordless landline. Press a button on the base, and the lost phone starts beeping until you find it. Ideally this is something small enough to attach to objects like keychains, remote controls, wallets, small digicams (RFID?). Anybody ever heard of anything like this?
