[SoCal Filter] What is that static that interferes with my car ipod player around Long Beach and Mojave? I use the kind of ipod adapter that transmits from ipod to car radio on FM, and it works very well other than this.

Los Angeles slumlordfilter: management company cashed our check for the usual rent amount last week (verified w bank), management company left us a "pay rent or quit" notice yesterday claiming we were short on rent and must pay within 3 days, calls to management company have led the voice mail box of the bookkeeper who has yet to pick up the phone or call us back. We're on day 2 and it's a Friday. Given they actually received rent in full, how worried should we be that they'll f us over even though this is entirely their own error?

I'm looking for a recently released album that was actually recorded in the 70s but was only released now. The name was something like Torrey Canyon, Torrey Pines, Laurel Canyon (but Google is not helping me here), any ideas? I really wanted to listen to it but it's looking like I have the name completely wrong.
I believe I originally heard about it on Metafilter.
I do not have lyrics, because I haven't heard it!
