Where to find a reasonably priced studio flat or room in London?
I've been looking for accommodation in London for quite some time now, but so far I've been unsuccessful (or.. unlucky) with searching in all the "usual" places (Gumtree.com, Findaproperty, flatland.co.uk etc.)
In the meantime, I need to move within a couple of weeks, and can't seem to find anything in East Central London (close to City University) that is not super expensive and/or managed by a (what i prefer to call) "greedy agent"... very frustrating :/

Can I really make a killing renting out my flat during London 2012? Since I didn't get tickets, I'm thinking about my Plan B, which is getting the hell outta dodge for the summer.

Looking for a short-term flat rental in London. One month, probably. Has anyone had a good experience with a particular vacation rental company or have any other advice?

I'm a Yank who'll be working in London for ten weeks this summer. My budget is really limited, and, with the dollar falling, it shrinks a bit more every day. Right now I could just use some general advice on living cheaply.

I'm looking for places (papers/websites) where people advertise flats to let direct to tenants, in London.
