I'm a graphic designer and I should know this. I'm also over-thinking, as usual.
What would you call this style of design used on This label of italian candy
I've always loved this look and described it as many different things but I've never known the exact style of lettering/ overall general design term. I usually just describe it as "vintage hand drawn really fancy lettering, old school labels." which is, you know, super professional of me.

. I want to know what brand or company it corresponds to. It's on a pair of pants. That's about all I know since it's not mine.

I'm an officer in the Vegetarian Society at my school. We want to get hoodies made, but for some reason, not a single one of us has been able to come up with anything beyond "Meat is Murder" (which would be tongue-in-cheek to us, but no one else would see it that way and we'd rather not look like really smug, insufferable twits) and "Give Peas a Chance," which I think is horrendous.
So, basically, does anyone have any suggestions for what to put on such a society's shirts?

I was wondering if anyone could identify the font used for the "reprise" records vintage logo I have this

A few weeks before Starbucks revealed its new logo, I stumbled across a website that provided several examples of famous logos that had been similarly stripped down... I think this was merely an exercise by a graphic designer.
Anyone know the link to this page? [more inside]

I'm wondering how so many different businesses can use the same logo. Are all the stations that use it ABC affiliates? Does the logo signify some sort of collaboration among the stations that use it? [more inside]

Fontographers: Help me identify this font.
I did the typical n00b thing and lost the PSD of my logo and now I can't for the life of me find or remember the font I used to create it. My site is at www.bloggingmuses.com and the logo is in the upper left. Any ideas what font it was? I have looked on every font site imaginable trying to find it. Thanks!

Help me understand the marketing/branding industry. The 2012 London Olympics committee just spent £400,000
on this new logo
. How does a branding company justify this kind of money to just design a logo? That can't be all there is to it, right? What kind of things actually get delivered and done on a project like this?
