Where can I purchase or have made a key for a very old filing cabinet made by Shaw-Walker? The lock has numbers stamped on it, but since it's for an older system everyone I've contacted says they can't help me.

What is the use of double locks? Not two separate lock, just the kind of lock that you can turn once (which locks the door) and then another time, in the same direction (which locks the door... more?).

Is it safe to leave your house key in the lock on the inside of your door? I always do this so I know where my keys are, but I've always wondered if doing so makes it easier for the lock to be bypassed by ill-intentioned citizens. Should I store my keys somewhere else?
