Recently my IOS (6.1.2) device (iPhone) has developed a peculiar behavior : Whenever App Store apps are bought/updated, the icons for those apps are relocated to the second page of my home screen. There does not seem to be a setting for this. Why is this happening?

I love reading
The Hunt column in the NY Times. Love watching "Location, Location, Location" (which I only get to see on cable when I'm at a hotel I travel to for work). Loved House Hunters when I saw it while overseas. I even like reading Ask Metafilter questions about where people should rent or buy when I have never even been to that city. What else would I like?

How can you tell where water came from? Lets say I give you a bucket of water taken from a local water source (river, lake, etc). There's some plants and maybe a fish in it as well. I'm in Windows XP. Whenever I manage files in various apps, like "save as" or "open file," there's that stack of location icons on the left such as
My Recent Documents, Desktop, My Computer, My Network Places, etc.
I want to destroy the
My Recent Documents and
My Network Places locations and add a custom folder or drive to that stack of location icons--or whatever the heck you call that. There must be a way! (
