I'm in the market for 1 oz, 2 oz, 4 oz and 8 oz bottles, preferably Boston Round glass amber colored bottles. I'd love to find the smaller bottles with orifice reducers (shake-to-drop) and/or droppers in the lids, and phenolic caps for the larger ones. Also neat whimsical labels would be cool but I'd be willing to make those myself and rubber cement them on. Do you have any thoughts on what types local businesses I should check to try to find a place that stocks all of these kinds of bottles and accessories? [more inside]

I live in a quiet and basically ok city neighborhood that's thinking about gentrifying a little. A few months ago we got a new local cafe/bar that's become a community center for parents. But now they don't want us. Can you give me some insight into why that might be or help me plan how to find us all a new hangout? [more inside]

How do I counter this argument?
Please do your shopping at independent, local businesses. The mall chain stores do not need your money.
Do the hundreds of people who work in the mall, or in the businesses that surround the mall and depend on mall traffic, need your money? [more inside]
