Derail a future heartbreak or enjoy myself now?

I've been living abroad for half a year but the end of my time here is coming up, and of course, I stupidly started seeing someone who is not going to relocate for me. Is it a stupid idea to continue seeing them? I'm already stressed and saddened to an extent I've never experienced before because of my uncertain job search and this is just adding on, but I'm so happy with them that I don't know if I can bring myself to cut this off. Should I continue hoping or is that just stupid? Some more details inside. [more inside]

HOWTO: Living in New Zealand (or Other Suitable Locale) for a Month!

I've been traveling in South America and India for about five months now at a fairly frenetic pace, and am looking for a change. I've decided I want to settle down in one city from around September 15-October 15, and I'm thinking New Zealand is the place I want to do it (but I am open to other cities in other countries that meet my criteria, so feel free to throw them out!). I'd greatly appreciate any thoughts you have on the best city, the best way to find lodging, transport, etc. - details on what I'm looking for below! [more inside]

Money in Berlin

I'm moving to Berlin for the summer, and I need to know how I should go about transfering living funds over. I'll be getting 3000 Euro when I get there, but that will not be enough to live on for the entire summer. Should I exchange them into Euros? Should I use my US credit card? Should I get a German bank account. I would love any advice you can give me.

How to tell my longterm boyfriend I've been having an emotional affair?

I've gotten myself in a relationship pickle involving my long-term boyfriend who doesn't know about my long-distance mutual feelings for a good friend. We live in a developing country so no therapist/couples counseling available and uprooting the relationship (aside from not being what I want) is logistically very hard (but of course it always is.) How to come clean and recommit to boyfriend but also be allowed to keep in touch with new friend? [more inside]
