I'm looking for a nightlight that could fit the description of the nightlight in the song Birdhouse in your Soul by They Might Be Giants. Ideas? Blue canary, "in the outlet by the light switch" (ie: that plugs directly into the wall). All I can find are stained glass ones, but I want something that is styled for a child's room.

Kanji Sonomama Rakubiki Jiten, a DS lite "game," is apparently really useful for learning kanji. So much so that people in this thread recommended it over dedicated electronic dictionaries. Any other DS software you'd consider that useful? At first I was thinking about things like educational software, flash card programs that let you make your own cards, &c. But really I'd like to know about any DS programs that are so useful you'd recommend them hands-down above other resources. Doesn't matter what they're useful for.*

help with nds escape please

im trying to get through the last level (20) in escape (clubhouse games) on the ds lite. im starting to think its geometricaly impossible, has anyone actualy gotten the block out?

Is there any reason I should not buy a Nintendo DS Lite? I'm interested in the Nintendo DS Lite gaming system. Mainly, I'm interested in games like Brain Age, Nintendogs, and Super Mario Cart. I have no real interest in football or high strategy games. I know there are other gaming systems out there, but from my brief discussion with the Target salesperson, it seems as though those are much more robust than what I need. Please correct me if I'm misinformed.

Is there any reason I shouldn't buy a Nintendo DS Lite? Is there an updated version of the DS Lite coming out soon? I did some cursory research on the system and I couldn't find any solid information on upcoming system releases. I just don't want this to be a repeat of my purchase of an iPod in early October of last year...about a week before the Video came out. Had I done my research/due diligence then I might have noticed that Something Big was coming soon. I want to say I did my research this time.

XP lite?

Has anyone used one of the hacked windows XP-lite distros? The ones that remove unnecessary stuff and leave you with a faster machine? a- how stable are they, can you use them for resource intensive apps like photoshop, autocad, etc.? b- do they support non-english keyboards? c- is the performance gain worth the hassle of finding and installing them? Yes, I know that they're illegal in some countries. Let's say I have a merely academic interest.
