I've been dating a great person for about 4 months.
She's really outgoing, charming, attractive, and funny, and people just love her. [more inside]

Is there an app or script that will help bulk delete all the pages I've liked on Facebook over the years? The process of doing this from my settings is time consuming (deliberately).
Even if there was a way to unlike EVERYTHING then start from scratch, this would be useful.

Does anyone remember a recent article by (I think) a linguist whose main point was defending the colloquial use of "like", as a way to explicate internal monologue in a way that wasn't really done before? For obvious reasons this is very hard to google for. I don't remember if I saw it here on Metafilter or some other source.

Lately, I've been fantasizing about pulling a George Costanza
---realizing that if every instinct I've had have is wrong, then the opposite would have to be right. In my case, I want to just abandon my "ethics," stop thinking I'm special, and going out there, and trying to make some serious money.
Has anyone just pulled a George Costanza and taken the 'opposite' approach to life?
For example, have you walked into a job interview and just said exactly what's on their mind, like George does when he meets Steinbrenner, or confessed that you're unemployed, balding and living with your parents when an attractive person hits on you?
If people don't have personal experience of doing these things, I'd love to read accounts of others doing them. Thanks!

On the radio I heard an old-sounding (1960s?), female-fronted pop-rock song that had the lyrics "you tremble and you shake / when he moves like a snake". What song is it?

OK, facebook started doing this thing where every time I click the Like button on any website, it generates a facebook post on my behalf, complete with wrongly selected thumbnail. Anybody know how to deactivate this?

When I "like" something on my a Facebook page where I'm the admin, it shows the page itself as the "liker." How can I get my personal

I've been clicking the 'like' button all over the interwebs -on pages and articles and slideshows and whatnot. Now i want to view a list of all things i've "liked", so that i can revisit them. (To a certain extent, i've been liking things as a way of bookmarking them.) Problem: on facebook, i can see a list of the pages within facebook that i've liked, and i can see recent
non-fb-pages that i've liked in my profile's recent activity. So: where can a see a list of all the non-fb pages i've liked? [more inside]

SQL problem. I need to search one table based on the results of a search on another table.
The trick? The field I'm comparing on the two tables will not be exactly equal, one table will have a field with single 'word', the other table will have a field with have a string of multiple 'words'.
Look inside for an example. [more inside]

I feel like I really need to decide between pursuing two career paths that each have their own advantages. I feel like I could be happy or unhappy in either one. I've been putting off the decision essentially for 5+ years now, and it's finally coming to a head. I need advice, coin flips, anecdotes, flowcharts, whatever you've got. Hope me break this down, mefi. [more inside]
