Know a great Rabbi?

Converting to Judaism in Boston - suggestions? Any recommendations for reform temples in the Boston area (preferably close to Lexington)? Have you converted to Judaism in the Boston area? If so, any recommendations for rabbis to work with (again, ideally close to Lexington)? Do you know anything about the temples in/near Lexington? I'm hoping to find someone great to work with, who will also hopefully perform my marriage in a year or so.

How do I get there from here? (Lexington/Burlington MA)

I'll be travelling from NYC to Boston via bus or train (as yet undecided, probably bus) on Columbus Day weekend. That part is easy, it's getting from South Station or Greyhound in Newton to my destination that's challenging me. Where I ultimately need to go is NW of Boston in the Lexington or Burlington areas (can be picked up in either). I had thought I could go from South Station to Riverside via the T but according to MBTA's Trip Planner, that's 2h20min. I don't think so.

So then I figured Big Grey Dog to Newton (essentially Riverside) but it's another "can't get there from here" without going back into Boston on the green line and back out on the red, apparently. This can't be impossible to do. I'm not sure how commuters do it. Cars only?

Worse comes to worse, I can get access to a car here but really don't want to have to pick it up Friday night here in NY, pay to garage it overnight, spend gas, drive, then come back Monday, get the car back home and then come back to my apartment.

What I've also looked at: Zipcar (not economically feasible), Amtrak to Framingham and or Westwood (see also: can't get there from here), traditional rent-a-car (Hertz is at South Station and isn't bad for three days if I take Fungwah/Megabus up, costs are still down over self-drive with gas and hassle)

Am I spoiled from being too long in NYC? Can you really not get there from here? Bostonians, what are my options?

I've read the related, nothing appears to match. As always, thanks so much for all of your help!

Lesbian-friendly psychiatrist/therapist in Kentucky?

Can you recommend a good, lesbian-friendly therapist/psychologist/whatever in Kentucky? I'm only twenty-one years old, but depression has plagued me for as long as I can remember -- well, at least since middle school -- and I really need a therapist. Problem is, I'm a kind of butchy lesbian, and I haven't felt very comfortable with the handful of rural psychologists I've talked to so far. I'm looking for someone who will accept the gay factor and just take it in stride: I'm completely comfortable with who I am, and I feel like the only way that being gay contributes to my depression is having to deal with the awkward and uncomfortable reactions of everyone in the shitty small town I live in.

So, back to the point: can anyone recommend a kind, gay-friendly therapist or psychiatrist or anything, really, in Central Kentucky? I live close to the "metro"-Lexington area, but traveling to Lousivlle/Cincinnati/anywhere close is feasible.

Feed my seaweed need

While in Dublin, Slothrop and I fell in love with this yummy Thai snack: Tao Kae Noi Crispy Seaweed. Since moving back to the States, we were able to find it in Ann Arbor, and stocked up, but now our supplies have run out. Help! There are no Asian grocery stores where we live (that's right, none). Does anyone know of a store in Lexington or Louisville (Kentucky) that sells it? Even better, is there an online source? I've looked, but apparently not hard enough. Thanks!

Commuting from NYC to Berea, KY

NYC to Berea, Kentucky. Best ways to travel back and forth, about 6 roundtrips over the course of 3 months? Low cost is very important, but not quite so important that I could stomach the 19-hour Greyhound ride every time. Can't find any budget airlines that go NYC-Lexington. Some cheap flights BWI-LEX and some NYC-Dayton -- maybe those are my best choice even with the added time/cost on bus legs? Finally, anybody know approx. taxi cost Lex-Berea (for times when Greyhound schedule doesn't fit with my plane)? Thanks!

Where can they buy matzah?

Advice for native NYCers moving to Lexington, KY? A very good friend of mine is moving with her boyfriend to Lexington where he has secured a teaching position at UK. She has lived most of her life in NYC, and her boyfriend in a former New Yorker who has been living in Nottingham, England for the last few years. As a born and bred southerner, I have been trying to help them prepare for the "change", but I don't know much about Lexington. Any recomendations on the cool and interesting side of the city? Are there any places that might remind them of NYC? Also, they are looking for a place to live near campus, but want to steer clear of soulless apartment complexes. Any specific streets or neighborhoods that they should consider? Thanks!

Lexington, KY and I

One day left in Lexington, Kentucky, and I am looking for something to do. I have been here a few days and the business is over. I have one full day to go around, with a car, and a modest amount of money.
I have already been to Keeneland, Woodford Reserve, I have tried a Kentucky Brown (and just about went into cardiac arrest), a very good restaurant in Louisville, a sushi joint in Lexington, and a lot of backroads driving looking at the gajillion-dollar farmland.
I have not had any burgoo.
I intend to hit Chowhound later tonight to plan the day out a little, but I am looking for some more suggestions. I am up for anything, and the cold and rain here doesn't bother me.
