at night my legs get sore. It is enough that I will wake up too early and can't fall back to sleep. Sometimes I even dream about it, like I'm doing an iron man competition and am pulling an airplane or something. This isn't restless leg syndrome (is that even real?), they're just sore. Anyone know why this might happen and what I should do? [more inside]

I can't bear to sit with both my feet on the floor for long. I either end up sitting cross-legged, or with one or both feet tucked up underneath me in some half-baked lotus position, or getting a box or something to rest them on. What's going on? Is it likely a circulation thing, or a psychological disorder? Anyone else have this?

I'm a 50 year old male who, over the past two or three summers, has had my sleep disturbed by frequently waking up with what seems like abnormally warm legs and feet, even when the bedroom feels cool. What's going on? Is it a consequence of aging? Any thoughts about what can be done about it would be appreciated.

Why do my legs hurt when I'm hung over? The day after drinking my legs always ache -- they're not sore like they would be from working out, they just ache like they're tired. Any idea why that is? Something related to dehydration I'm guessing?

I've been having muscle fatigue problems for several years. It's mostly specific to my legs, which rules out Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (according to my doctor).
Recently, I tried eliminating various categories of food from my diet again, because I've had problems with certain things before. When I mostly eliminated cow's milk from my diet (I think I slipped once and accidentally had some ice cream), the problem mostly disappeared. Last night, I had a big mug of my friend's real hot chocolate, which she makes with milk for that extra unhealthfulness. Today, I could barely operate the clutch in my car. My doctor says that he's never heard of a connection like that before. Could a protien in milk be causing muscle fatigue in a particular part of my body?

This is for the biologists. Humans tend to be very symmetrical, either having one thing often in the middle (nose, genitals, mouth), or two things evenly placed (eyes, nostrils, legs). That said, do humans have three of anything? (We have three ear bones, but in each ear.. totalling 6, so that fails!)

This has been driving me batty. I read a book (short story?) a long time ago and I've been trying to find it. Its about a unicorn trying to become human and it cuts off its hind legs. Any bells ringing?
