Cleaning boots that may or may not be nubuck

I bought these leather nubuck/suede boots (in brown) last year and wore them throughout the fall and winter. Due to my ineffective attempt at waterproofing them and lackluster cleaning, they have some lighter spots and dark stains. Some of this is just wear on the leather, I know, but is there a way to get the rest of that off? [more inside]

Help me not ruin my shoes so fast!

My favorite pair of shoes in the entire world, this pair that there only seems to be one of in existence, are just a smidge too narrow. They're 11D, and feet would fit best in an 11E. That smidge is giving me one mean callous, but more importantly the widest part of my foot, tipped with that callous, has already worn through the leather lining and might have burst through the calfskin outer if I hadn't caught it in time. What can I do to not ruin these beautiful, expensive shoes any further? [more inside]

Are these little dots on my cordovan leather wallet normal?

A new cordovan-leather wallet has a number of small pock-marks on the finished surface. They are a bit grayish on the brown leather and look like they appeared after tanning. Help me get my leather painting fixed.

My wife has this leather painting/art kind of thing which was made by taking a hide of leather and cutting out patterns in it. I think it was then painted a bit. It was made in Thailand originally. The problem is that it got stored somewhere damp and the bottom bit has shrunk, so now it is not rectangular but more rhombussy shaped. (Not a lot, but noticeably). Is this repairable? I mean, leather stretches right? If so, where would you go to get it fixed? I don't even know what sort of craftsman to ask.

do you know a good leather worker?

I'm looking for a dark, well made, quality leather wrist cuff/bracelet that's about an inch thick with a snap closure. The internet seems flooded with crappy cuffs with lots of junk stuck on them. Can you recommend a shop/person? I lean more towards something that looks vintage/distressed rather than new, stiff, and polished. This is for a man, but think more unisex.

Lifetime leather jacket?

I'm 19, and I want to buy a leather jacket to last me the rest of my life. Any suggestions as to brands, styles, or where to get one? Ideally I could wear it all my life, wear it in like a good pair of boots, and possibly hand it down to my son, or at least my 10-year-younger brother when it became his time.

What is the best way to poke a hole in a leather watch strap?

I have several watches that I wear that all have leather watch straps. With a couple of the watches, my ideal placement for the hole in the strap is actually in between two current holes. What is the best method to create a hole big enough to use? I have tried a sharp turkey skewer to poke a hole in it, and while it pierced the leather, it didn't leave a hole large enough to easily go through every time. I have thought about a leather punch (which i guess is used for belts?) but that would be way too large. Suggestions?

How do you paint leather?

I'm turning a small vintage samsonite leather suitcase into a baby travel kit that will stay in my sister's truck. I know how to get the lingering smells out, and how to replace the liner. I also figured out how to clean leather. But what type of paint is best to use on leather? I want to add some decorative elements with a baby theme to the outside and I'm not sure if acrylics are okay.
