OK, knowing the answer will probably not make me a better, happier, wiser person, but I've got to know: in some random Tumblr surfing I saw this picture, apparently a still from a movie... [more inside]

I like bags and purses that have organization details and pockets galore, but I am also prone to carrying unnecessary weight if the bag is too large. To spare my shoulder and back, I've been downsizing to smaller crossbody bags. I've enjoyed using Travelon purses, but the most recent one is wearing out on me and I'm looking at a future replacement. [more inside]
I have a low headroom ceiling over a staircase which I want to pad with something. I'm thinking foam interior with an outward facing leather for looks. How do I make it look nice? [more inside]
Found a small amount of mouse (chipmunk?) droppings in some otherwise very nice men's leather dress shoes I mistakenly stored in the garage. Can anyone recommend a best course of action for disinfection without damaging the shoes? [more inside]
I have a nice leather handbag and I accidentally squished one of the handles under a chair leg. This is my first leather bag and I've only had it since March and I am feeling sad that I have ruined it, even though I doubt anyone but me can see what happened to the strap. It made me realize that I have no idea how to take care of leather. I'd like some tips (and maybe some perspective on whether I should be this bummed about it). [more inside]
I like the look of this leather blazer. I'm specifically looking for a jacket I can wear indoors as a pseudo-suit jacket in my business casual workplace. Can you suggest a leather blazer, similar to this one, or at least NOT moto or mixed media style? I am in the U.S. Size-wise, I'm right on the edge between 1x and XXL, or between a straight 16 and an 18W. [more inside]
I have some craft and design projects I'd like to create with *quality* scrap hardwood, *quality* scrap leather, and game animal skulls/teeth/other bones. The bigger the wood/leather scraps the better. Other than Etsy suppliers, where are the best places in my community to try to look for these things and get them for little to no cost? [more inside]
I saw this leather jacket (and scarf, although a friend swears it's a sweater) on Tumblr but sadly the original poster didn't cite the source and doesn't have an ask box so I cannot ask him/her directly: [more inside]

So I managed to get gum on my shoe yesterday. Normally I would just scrape it off, but in this case it's on the top of the leather shoe, not on the sole. I did some googling and saw advice to freeze the item with gum on it and other advice to use a hairdryer to heat the gum. One page suggested peanut butter. Since these seem like contradictory bits of advice, I'm here asking: Have you ever tried to remove gum from leather? What worked? Since it's the top of the shoe I'd like to have it look ok when I'm done.
SO and me saw a chocolate brown satchel purse (this kind of design but the leather was real and not mottled) she really liked at a shop but agreed it was over-priced and probably cheaper online. The bag was labeled "Vera Pelle" and searches on eBay and other places brought up quite a lot of bags under that label. On Friday, we discovered Vera Pelle just means "real leather" in Italian and is stamped on any bag made in Italy that is made out of leather. So, we're trying to find places that have catalogs of Italian made, non-branded leather purses to peruse to find the purse she liked. Any suggestions?
I have a beautiful, just shot wild goose! Except I didn't expect to receive a wild rather than tame goose, and I have no bacon or other fat to cover it in. How can I cook this without turning it into leather? Help? [more inside]
I have a slim leather belt with lovely Mexican silver hardware; but the belt itself is fairly shredded, and has already been repaired once (by a shoe repairman, who did the best he could). Who fixes belts these days? How do I find someone to put the hardware on a new piece of leather, in Montreal, in New York, or on the Internet? How much should I expect to pay?
For the past year or so I've been daydreaming about buying a classic leather motorcycle jacket, like this or this. Tragically, though, I cannot afford to spend $700. My budget is more like $200. Can you help me fake it? [more inside]
I've had a black leather jacket for four or five years, and the jacket itself is probably twenty years old. I never had it stain anything until I began wearing white button-up shirts to work, but now I have a bunch of shirts with dirty collars that don't wash out. What can I do? [more inside]

I have several watches that I wear that all have leather watch straps. With a couple of the watches, my ideal placement for the hole in the strap is actually in between two current holes. What is the best method to create a hole big enough to use? I have tried a sharp turkey skewer to poke a hole in it, and while it pierced the leather, it didn't leave a hole large enough to easily go through every time. I have thought about a leather punch (which i guess is used for belts?) but that would be way too large. Suggestions?

What's going wrong with my 10-year old sheepskin? ok, actually it's an angora goat skin, but it's the same concept. The main body of it is okay, but the sueded leather is really stiff and fragile at the edges/corners/legs, and pieces keep cracking and falling off, though not yet to the point of crumbling. What's causing this? Can I fix it? [more inside]

In what Los Angeles stores can I shop for plush leather desk chairs? I'd like to visit well established stores (ones that have been around for a decade or so) and try out various desk chairs before I make a purchase. I'm willing to drop some bucks for the right chair. I want it to be down-stuffed, soft leather, plush, swivel, tiltable back, adjustable height. I'm not really concerned so much about ergonomics...I don't have back problems. I just want a sense of plushiness when I sit at my desk. I'm willing to drive to any part of town.

I hadn't intended to use my question for this, but I just can't get it out of my head right now ... what skin ailment would cause this? (Warning: semi-icky, but not disasterously awful, picture.) And is she wearing some sort of leather slacks, or are those her legs?
