House Hunters: Get Me Out of Here Edition

I moved into a new house about a week ago. Everything seemed great. Good, quiet location, central location, etc. etc. But, I've come to realize that the folks living across the street are bad news. They're extremely loud, vulgar, and generally up to no good. [more inside]

Living without a lease... risks?

My partner and I will be moving to Vancouver in August. We found a great place in a lovely neighborhood. The lady that owns the condo seems incredibly kind and down to earth. That said, she says that because of rules with her condo, she can't legally rent the place to us, which means there are some details that might be concerning... [more inside]

What happens in this situation, with the deposit, etc? (more inside) and how do I deal with the landlord? [more inside]

I'm Moving Out

Sort of like a question I asked before, but not quite as whimsical. I've reached the end of the lease with the apartment my wife and I live in. It's up as of February 1st and that's perfect, because we'd like to be out by then. The problem is that they're asking for a 60 day written notice and we just gave them notice today. In the last 7 days, Mrs. Bageena's father died and while we were out of town for the funeral, someone broke into our apartment and robbed us. [more inside]

Don't sh*t where you eat?

RoommateConflictFilter: I'm a guy in my mid-20s living in a bachelor pad with two other similarly-aged guys. The two roommates have had a huge falling out (over a girl, naturally) on month two of a twelve-month lease, and after days of constantly talking about it, it seems like the only solution is for one of them to move out. The only thing that we've agreed on is that I'm not going anywhere. So now what? We're all on the lease, and I want to make sure that nobody gets burnt any worse than has already happened.
