I've recently finally gotten really fit and in shape, after spending most of my 27 years...not doing that. I've been looking for something local and athletic to do, both for fun and for fitness, but since I haven't played sports since I was 12 or so, my skills are lacking. However, all the local instruction is oriented towards youth, so I turn to you folk for aid. How can an sports newb adult learn how to play?

DatabaseFilter: I know more about Access than the average person, but I'm at the point where I need to know more than what I am finding on the Access db sites and in books. I need a faster and more reliable response than I would get from posting on forums.

Can you recommend a summer program, August - Sept, for a bright 15 year old girl living in Queens, NYC? My niece is very smart, loves dance and theater and wants to excel academically. She's starting to make choices that aren't ideal, and (unrelated) do somewhat poorly in Math. I would love to find a program in Queens, or NYC for the month of August that can help her with school, inspire her and encourage her in the right direction. Help?!

Corporate trainers, I need your help. I need to train some colleagues on the capabilities of an software package to prepare them for designing some upgraded features. However, they are not users of the software, so my standard new-user training is not going to cut it. Do you have any tips on how to do this kind of training/education? Any suggestions of training books or websites that can help?

If there was ONE thing that you wish you had been taught at your current job what would that be? What I am looking for is not something like...."Don't talk to Spencer in HR, he is a perv," more on the lines of "how to get information on X when Y is not working," or "What things can program Z do to make my job easier?" I need to design some sort of educational media for workplaces (software or internet based) and I am looking for some juicy leads. General is better. Thanks

I am taking a brain-painful networking class (hint: it's all about the
routers, baby!) and the studying is intense. It's hard, but I'm holding my own. I see questions here on AskMe that bring really cool answers from lots of folks, with a lot of repeat answerers, which leads me to ask, How Did You Learn What You Know About Computers/the Internet? Was it in school? Did you apprentice with someone who had m4d sk1lz? Did you teach yourself? Other?
