I would love my apartment to smell very strongly of lavender and/or eucalyptus. I have cats, so live plants are sort of out. I would rather avoid having to burn candles. I just sort of want to come home and ensconce myself in the awesomeness. It is about 1000 square feet, and I would like to have the monthly maintenance of this aromatic oasis be about 50 bucks. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know whether lavender essential oil can be used as a deterrent for woodworm? I believe it is effective against clothes moths and wondered whether it might also work for the moths of woodworm.
It would be very expensive to cover an area with neat oil, but perhaps it could be diluted in a carrier oil. Thanks for any thoughts.

Looking for recipes and/or tips for baking with rose or lavender. In particular, I'm interested in making a chocolate cake with rose flavoring. Or lavender as a backup. [more inside]

How do I go about making my own lavender bags? I'm planning on making some softies for Christmas presents and am unsure on whether they need to be fully filled with herb (dude) or whether a mixture of polyfilling is needed (less expensive). I'm also wondering what kind of lavender to use, and where the best (UK) place to obtain it may be. [more inside]

I'm about to plant five small lavender plants that I brought back from my trip to Puget Sound. Please tell me, what else can I plant that will complement these?
