I am looking for a clothes washing machine to fit into a relatively small apartment's bathroom. The bathroom was not originally intended for the installation of a washing machine, though there is just barely sufficient space, so I'm looking for something that is sort of tall and narrow, or shallower than normal in dimensions, not cube shaped like the typical front loading machine. Laundry intervention! Washed clothes, but no dryer and no space to line-dry...how can I make it so my clothes are minimally wrinkled and mildewy in the morning? [more inside]
When using a shared laundry room if someone puts a basket with clothes and whatnot in front of the washer you are using do you have to let them have the next wash even if you are not finished with all of your laundry? What if your other loads are in the apartment and therefore not visible to the person? Is it even polite to set your basket down like that? What if there are very few washers? Or only one? I googled all around to try and find a satisfactory answer to this but I am not finding it, so I am asking for a collection of opinions!
My wife and I are looking for a v. small washing machine for our rented apartment. I've seen a few units which you can wheel into the closet after doing the laundry but I'm not sure how well they work. Any thoughts?
The communal washing machines in my apartment building are worthless. They don't remove any sort of stain or spill, regardless of solubility or severity. When I remove the wet clothes from the washer, nasty stripes and splotches of lint cover my clothes (especially obvious on darks). Is there a specific complaint I can make to my landlord, or should I just give up and go to a laundromat? [more inside]
Why did someone steal my socks? [more inside]
How much is it worth to you to have a washer/dryer in your building? [more inside]
Sometime during the last hour or so, half of my clothes have disappeared from my building's communal laundry facilities. What do I do? [more inside]
Doing laundry sucks. Doing laundry in an apartment, with two elderly machines that are always either broken or in use sucks more. Anyone have any laundry hacks? [more inside]
