Yet another Arabic question. A lot of people have mentioned that I should make a point to watch Arabic tv to immerse myself more in the language. I don't have cable, though. Are there are any good spoken-Arabic (subtitled) movies you know of that I might be able to get on Netflix? (Bonus points if any are in modern Egyptian.) Otherwise, does anyone know of anyone who rents Arabic dubbed/subtitled dvds in the Bay area? [more inside]

I'm about halfway through my first year of college-level Modern Standard Arabic, and would love it if someone experienced in Arabic instruction/linguistics in general could make some suggestions for materials with which I can supplement my textbook. LanguageFilter: Any Arabic speakers here? I'm trying to decipher an Arabic phrase: "Baashake ya halo." I might have spelled it wrong, but I know it's not a common Arabic phrase so much as it is slang. Any ideas?
